I am kind of thinking it's not going to do that good. I am pretty much bored with the whole Shrek thing now.

It sucks that this will make more than How To Train Your Dragon. Dreamworks needs to stop making bullshit like Shrek...I think they're above shit like that now.

The bigger question is....

....who gives a flying f**knut about Shrek movies anymore...except gullible kiddies who'd gulp down bags of nonsense if it was marketed well and had colorful stuff in it. Shrek's a lovable character, but Shrek 3 did to me what Spider-Man 3 did to me...made me hate the whole gig altogether. Honestly, this is my LEAST expected movie this year. LEAST!

you're totally close-minded, then. Apparently you're in the Pixar "flock." Just see the movie the movie and then maybe we'll take you seriously.

Even a last gasp will turn up bails of cash.

There hasn't been a break out kids film in awhile. They will totally flock to this.

"It's a Wonderful Life: Ogre Style" will make all that money because kids will see anything because of talking animals. The theatre I work at almost sold out of "Furry Vengeance" this morning...."FURRY VENGEANCE"!!!!

I chose 201 to 250 mil since shrek 3 was a huge letdown & with the strange marketing ploy with the title of Shrek the Last Chapter, it will confuse people. Big opening weekend no doubt, but huge drop offs in the coming weks. Maybe should been released April or bumped down to around November.

EDIT - Forgot to mention that the plot of this movie is absolutely terrible.

What's so confusing about "The Final Chapter"? If anything, it clarifies for people that this is it. You're dreaming if you don't think it'll crack $250 mil

It'll probably make around $300 million, none of which is deserved. I sincerely hope that its popularity has waned enough for it to not even break $200 million - How to Train Your Dragon is a film that deserves that distinction far more than Shrek 4.

Hmmm, good question. I don't think that Shrek's popularity has waned quite as much as some people suggest, but how could it reach Shrek 2 proportions? 3D, that's how! Look for about $365 million. This one is gonna be better than the third one.

I would actually like a MacGruber upset next one for the #1 spot, even though this Shrek does seem to look better than the third one...

Haha that'd be funny...but I do think Macgruber could take some business from Shrek. A lot of young people might choose that instead (like teens and young adults, i mean)

With the R rating, not too many teens will see it, but young adults, sure, but that's not Shrek's audience, so I doubt the movie will steal and of Shrek's thunder.
