Wedding Crashers and Talladega Nights are masterpieces as well but Anchorman just edges it. Most of them are great comedies though

STRANGER THAN FICTION

Hands Down. I never liked him so much in any film so far, than in this. his performance was actually pretty good, with an amazing cast. I was surprised by the film completely.

It is definitely Anchorman for me. I watch that movie about every two years or so and it is never not funny.

ELF

Why no love for ELF? He was great in that. Definitely one of the best Christmas movies in a long while.

The dude lost whatever mojo he had. Not nearly as funny as he thinks he is.

It really depends on who is directing. His movies are guaranteed to be funny if Adam McKay is directing and co-writing with him, but otherwise it's a mixed bag.

The order tells you exactly how good each movie was. From best to worse.

Also, Milk was a bad choice

Stranger than Fiction. Loved it. Not a fan of his comedy. OUtside of Old School and Wedding Crashers (which werent Ferrel vehicles per se), Talladega NIghts is the only one I have re-watched and enjoyed.

Gotta be Anchorman

but Stranger Than Fiction and Talladega Nights deserve a lot of love too. Blades of Glory is pretty fucking great too. Zoolander's more of a cameo, and the rest... meh.... Step Brothers isn't bad I guess.

I'm just waiting for the day they announce that Will Ferrell is going to replace Steve Carrell as Michael Scott in 'The Office'

Seriously people, who else?

Semi-Pro is second for me. I know it's not a well liked movie, but I really enjoy it.

Put the mamosas down BITCH!

His films may have dropped off recently but you can't say anchorman isn't one of the funniest and most quotable films in years. Talladega nights is a really funny film as well and the others have their moments. He's one of the few comedic actors who can open a film under their name (would anyone go to see a mark whalberg comedy? the happening doesn't count) and at the same time steal episodes of already excellent comedy shows like Eastbound and down and 30 rock. Seriously who can hate the

I love Elf (but I'm a sucker for Christmas movies). I can also tolerate him in Old School, other than that, not a fan.

Other than Anchorman, I am not a fan of Ferrell. Sorry, neg me if ya want, but I think the movies he is in, would be just as funny, or funnier if it was someone else in the same role.
