The Way Back, The Mechanic

Can't go wrong with Statham. Mr. Consistency. Also, I forgot Peter Weir directed The Way Back. Superpumped for this now.

Season of the Witch and not much else. There's no way 350 people in the entire world want to see Green Hornet and that includes cast member's families. Who's rigging the numbers?

January looks like a pretty bad month for movies, and I am disappointed with what I have heard about Hornet. I was hoping that Michel Gondry would save the film and put some interesting creativity into it, but I guess word around the block has said otherwise. I suppose The Mechanic looks the most interesting. At the very least, Jason Statham always provides for an entertaining film.

Both "Green" Movies look lousy.

Not looking forward to any of these. "The Mechanic" looks okay, but the rest look like crap including "Green Hornet." Crap is too strong of word for "Hornet" just lousy.

I say No Strings Attached, if only for Natalie Portman, even though it means I also have to see Ashton. I see anything with her in it. Best actress of her generation, hands down (although this might not be her masterpiece, i know)

If I wanted to watch a fat, unfunny, stoner try to play a superhero, I would have lobbied Warner Bros. to keep Jack Black as their choice for Green Lantern. Especially considering that WB had hired Black for the role before Reynolds.

Whoever came up with the title: From Prada to Nada should be shot. This whole month looks like either garbage or wait till DVD.

The Way Back

I'm not sure how Season of the Witch is more aniticipated than The Way Back. Colin Farrel Ed Harris And Saoirse Ronan make up what is looking to be my favorite movie of the month hands down. If you havent seen the trailer yet here ya go.

I forgot about The Way Back. Thanks for the reminder. Awesome cast! Colin has done a lot of small stuff lately. Nice to see after winning the GG for him to choose all these interesting roles. Check out Triage, it's a good rental.

I saw a sneak preview of The Green Hornet back in late November, and the movie was average at best. However, I'm very much looking forward to The Mechanic, It looks awesome.

Rolling in his Grave....

Sorry, but Bruce Lee in rolling over in his grave with the Green Hornet. Just the whole approach of it and I'm sick of Seth Rogen like others are with Will Farrell. Though the best thing about it looks like the dude who plays Kato (Stephen Chow???), but still some things just need to be left alone. The Mechanic however, does look like a sweet action flick. Long live Statham, has anyone noticed how in the last couple of weeks he's gone from age 38 to 43??? I know the English don't necessarily

I know the English don't necessarily age well (must be lack of sunlight over there), but to age 5 years over the holidays...?!

Boo

I think The Mechanic will be a fun movie, considering Jason Statham has become one of the few action stars of today ( R.I.P all the awesome 80's action heroes). The Green Hornet looks like shit. I just don't like the casting. January's line up is kind of balls. Just sayin'.

In total agreement. Though The Way Back is gaining hype (Colin Farrell an Ed Harris). Statham is the last of the dying breed of action stars. I know The Rock and Vin are trying to make a comeback, but JS is always consistent. Does well in other though similar roles like Bank Job, Revolver, and I loved him in London with Chris Evans.

That's a pretty horrible list, OUCH! Though I'm pulling for The Way Back from Peter Weir...

The Mechanic

Any chance to see more Ben Foster in action and I'm in. Guy is one of the most underused actors in Hollywood.
