X2 was a great flick and one of the better sequels but first class just completely blew me away. yeah i laughed a few times at the ginger banshee and when beast talked but james Mcavoy and Michael Fassbender were really spot on as x and magneto. Not to mention that knife trick at the bar was so sick

I haven't seen "X-Men: First Class" yet, so I voted for "X-Men 2: X-Men United".

Tough call

X2 is a really good movie but X-Men: First Class is the only one that doesn't focus on Wolverine. For all the complaints about Cyclops not being in First Class he was hardly in the original trilogy at all (kidnapped in X2, killed in X3). I wonder how Singer and Vaughn will re-introduce Cyclops and Jean in sequels to First Class. Will they ignore Cyclops appearance in Wolverine? Will they make Scott and Jean a bit older so they can be teenagers in the seventies? That could be extremely

I haven't seen First Class yet, but X2 is far and away the best of the first four movies. I would rank them as such:

1. X2: X-Men United
(pause here for a big loss in quality)
2. X-Men
(pause here for an even bigger loss in quality)
3. X-Men: The Last Stand
4. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Before First Class, I like the 1st X-Men the most. But now, First Class takes the spot.

I thought X2 was so terrible that I didn't see X3 and only watched Wolverine because I was bored. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed that one, but First Class was a really great movie. I enjoyed every minute of it.

X2, the best superhero movie after Batman Begins and Dark Knight. I liked First Class, but I don't know how people can say it's their favorite X-Men film, since most the classic X-Men aren't in it.

Was it just me, or...

Did they intentionally cut to the black dude when Kevin Bacon said the word, "Slavery."

WHAT THE H!?

I have to see First Class again before knowing for sure but X2 and First Class are neck and neck and both exceptional films.

I was actually like "WTF" when Oliver Platt was dropped to the ground. That's really scary.

X1 + X2 for my money. I rewatched them both this weekend, and they still hold up and are solid movies. X1 just has the misfortune of being so underbudgeted that the climax feels a little 'meh'.

Just for fun, here's a gif chronicling how many other drawings of his own/other artists the grand hack Greg Land traced to make that image you used for the poll.

If they had swapped out Banshee and Angel

for two cooler characters, the film would be damn near perfect. As it is, it was fantastic but those characters were beyond lame (Angel spitting bombs and flying on little dragonfly wings being the worst, but Banshee scream-flying was pretty awkward as well.)I still chose it as my favorite because other then X2 the other films are pretty weak.

Saw First Class yesterday and thought it was brilliant. My only beef was it seemed to lose its way in the middle a bit. X2 still better but this is a worthy Xmen movie for sure. I would be so bold as to say I would love to see X4 with Fassbender taking over Ian Mckellens Magneto role. This new magneto was much much better.

I voted for X2 but . . .

I need to watch First Class a couple more times before I can be sure. We might have a new champion.

The scary thing is that Generation X is a perfectly valid X-Men movie now that Banshee and Emma have appeared in theatres.
