Are we counting the 3-day weekend or the Wednesday to Sunday 5-day opening? Or is this not opening until Friday in the states? Seriously, I don't know, except that it opens tonight here in Sweden

I still like to call him Harry Pooter. Oh yeah and my favorite musicians are Nelly Furtaco and Stincupus. Oh yeah, and the Poo Bighters too!

All in humor of course.... XD

0-25Mil? Really? Should that even be considered an option for this movie...

It's Harry Potter, it's the final film and it's in 3D - you'd think it making serious bank was pretty much a given. Opening weekend must be over $100M with the inflated price for 3D.

It's also sitting on 100% on RT as of 21 reviews. EPIC! This should be nominated for Best Picture! But If Dark Knight and Toy Story 3 didn't win, this won't either. But it deserves a nomination!

You haven't seen it and declare it deserves to be nominated ? Well, in that case, let's nominate The Hobbit right fucking now. WTF?

The final movie of an absolutely gigantic, T-Rex size series. This is gonna make a ton of money, probably squish the other films, and maybe even become one of the biggest of all time. Okay, that MAY be pushing it, but every midnight showing I have seen for this online is practically sold out. This is going to be huge, with multiple viewings guaranteed. I am estimating an opening close to 100M at least.

200+ easily

Will there ever be a bigger series than these movies? I highly doubt it. As much as people will love Batman, or pay to see Pirates (for some odd reason), nothing can beat Potter this coming week. People have been waiting since forever for this movie.

I'm going big and I'm saying 150 Million+... This might be the biggest opening weekend ever. I sure as hell will be paying to see it.

I'm guessing maybe a 95 mil weekend

It will be a non-mover for 2 weeks.

It's a movie that concludes a ten year old series and the last big media outing of a franchise that begun 14 years ago. It's unlike anything that has ever been done before. So it has got to get epic numbers.

And they can expect a bit more too with the TDK teaser opening for it.

Easily 150 mil plus. I think it may beat TDK record too.

Optimus and Potter...

These two movies will battle it out for who will rule the summer. TF3 just made it to $645 million worldwide in just over a week.

If there was ever a movie that could potentially hit the 200 million mark on opening weekend, it's this one. I don't think it will happen, but you are looking at the biggest opener ever.

Over 2,000 midnight screenings are already sold out, with the number most likely to raise. Add on repeated viewings from the hardcore fans on Saturday as well, and you have a monstrous opening weekend.
