None. I haven't seen a movie in 3D since 'Jaws 3D' or 'Freddy's Dead', whichever came later.

Well technically I saw quite a few 3d movies.

But I just went to the 2D version, because fuck that.

I can only remember seeing one in 3D, and that was Final Destination 5 most recently. I can't stand post-converted 3D films, yet that seems to be what filmmakers prefer. Understandably, but I don't feel like shelling out an extra $5 to see something that the filmmakers couldn't even bother to spend the extra money to shoot in 3D. Unless it's a film I really want to see and it's ONLY in 3D, I will probably just go watch the 2D.

I saw 2

I saw CARS 2 and TRANSFORMERS 3 in 3D. My hard rule is only animated movies and those which were actually shot in 3D. And even then, I'm picky. I really hope this fad dies out quickly, but it doesn't seem like it's going to.

Zero

That's how many movies I've seen from this year, whether they've been in 3D or not. I haven't seen anything from this year, whether it be in theatres or at home. The last, and coincidently only, movie I've seen in 3D was Piranha, and that really killed any and all interest I had in seeing movies in 3D. Just the same old stuff. I might go see something down the line, but given the track record of the rest of the year, nothing's looking terribly interesting to me. Guess I'll just let all my

I actually paid a little extra to watch Thor in 2D (it was a preview screening in a fancier cinema) but since Clash Of The Titans I've been making an effort only to see films in 3D that were shot in that format. This Summer, the only 3D film I've seen has been Transformers. I've not really dug the series and this was more of the same, but as far as 3D goes it wasn't half bad. My favourite 3D movie so far has probably been Tron: Legacy. I don't hate 3D, just hate seeing it used badly and being

Last 3D movie I saw was Jackass 3, and while I'm glad I saw it in that format, the extra 6 bucks for two tickets left me feeling cheated.

I saw two (Thor and Captain America) but only after I saw them in regular 2D to compare the difference. Thor's 3D was terrible but Cap's was actually pretty damn good.

Transformers 3, and maybe Final Destination 5 for the weekend. See, I don't mind 3-D at all, I just don't like post-production hack-jobs and having to pay $5-7 extra for it.

I saw only 1.

Since 2009 I've decided to watch only one 3D movie per year.
2009: Avatar
2010: Tron: Legacy
2011: Transformers 3

Not surprised by the results considereing the loaded question and a site full of movie elitists.
I don't think studios will be too concerned with these poll results when 3D films are consistantly helping make billion dollar films.

agreed. Most people here are very anti-3D for whatever reason, so the results here don't really represent anything other than 'what do the people who don't like 3D (and the couple that do) think of 3D movies'

obvious answers are obvious. ;)

I saw four 3D films

...but would have liked to save my money on two of them (Green Lantern and Thor). Kung Fu Panda 2 and Transformers 3 were the only two out of the four where the 3D made the film a fun ride X)

While I voted for 0, 3D is still leading the vote. Some of you guys are deceived by percentages. 0 has 285 votes. 3D in general has 318 votes. But then, this poll is structured to leech more votes into 3D since 3D is given 6 categories. I think we need a poll: Did You See Any 3D Movies This Summer, Yes or No.

Just 1

Transformers 3, b/c I wanted to see it in IMAX and that meant I had to see it in 3D. To be fair, it was the best 3D i've seen, but I'm sure IMAX had something to do with that. I'm completely fine with 3D disappearing forever, however.

(Sigh) Wellll....

Considering I haven't seen a movie in the theater since 'Revenge Of The Fallen', I'd have to say 0, of course. I'm completely turned off by the theater atmosphere. Thumbs down me all you want, but I'd rather just download the torrent for free(I refuse to do Cams, I wait for the actual DVD release date), and watch a movie in the comfort of my own home with my friends, while we drink beer and smoke weed.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I don't bother paying for this overpriced shit anymore?

Oh yeah, one more time...go ahead and thumb me down all you want, but I'm the one saving money on crappy movie outings, and turning that money into eventful evenings within my home, with my friends.

Don't care for 3D. It's an annoying fad that I wish would die out already.
And I can honestly say that the movies I've seen in 3D wouldn't be any less enjoyable in 2D. That includes the movies actually filmed in 3D and not converted in post-production.

4, but only one by choice

I saw Thor, Green Lantern, Captain America and Transformers in 3D, but I only wanted 3D for Transformers. For the other three, the midnight showings for Thor and Captain America were only in 3D (I subsequently went to see them in 2D weeks later) and Green Lantern 3D had two theaters opening weekend for 3D, but the 2D split theater time with another movie and only had three showings, all before I would be able to make it to the theater that weekend.

3D needs to fade away. Remember when it

3D needs to fade away. Remember when it used to say "Selected 3D Theaters" on the commercials? Now, in the case of Final Destination 5, it says "Also in select 2D theaters." Bullshit, I tell you!

None. For Captain America I went to a pricy theater I despise because my preferred theater only had it in 3D.

Big fat 0!

Though I admit to kinda wanting to see Final Destination 5 in 3D. But in all honesty 3D's never done anything for me.

In that pic, the first 2 people in the row seem to be having the most amazing orgasms ever. 3D makes me go limp, if anything at all.

LMFAO

Glad I'm not the only one who avoided that shit like the plague. Why spend $14 when you can go before noon on a weekday and see 2D in all its crisp glory for a mere $5? Hollywood must think we're morons.
Wait, now I'm having second thoughts. Are the theaters the ones duping us? Either way, I'll stick to my good ole fashioned matinee

I'm with Elderpredator.

I've seen 6 or 7 films with 3D because the theatre I go to only offered it 3D. The gimmick does nothing for me & is nothing more than a cash grab. I never saw Avatar which was suppose to be awesome with the technology but I doubt it did much for the movie.

Just one...

And I had no choice cause it was the CAPTAIN AMERICA screening at Comic-Con. If I had a choice, the number would be zero.
