Should've had one other option...

"Haven't seen one single 3D movie since this stupid fad re-began"

Time to go, 3D. I've gotten headaches from putting the 3D frames over my regular frames. Plus the movies never look good in 3D anyway.

4th Option

It depends on the 3D
Converted 3D - Nope
Filmed in 3D - Yes

Some movies are good in 3D, some aren't. It's a mixed bag. I'm not really that into it and would much rather just stick with normal films, but I have enjoyed my share of 3D films. I just wish that the studio's and productions would cut back on this insessent need to put what should not be in 3D, into 3D. Some 3D films are just so unnecessary.

Very few movies were good in 3D. One movie (Avatar), I preferred in 3D. Some movies
were okay in 3D. Most movies (especially converted movies) sucked in 3D.

Conclusion: Make em like Avatar or bust.

Side note: AT LEAST stop shoving 3D for the home down our throats.

To Hell With 3D...

It's hard on the eyes. I'd much rather see movies shot at a 48 frame/sec. rate to make pan and other motion shots smoother. Anything that actually improves the image and sound quality is where it's at. The 3D gimmick is just that, a gimmick.

I support innovation and as a result I support 3d. After all, if there was no innovation we would not even have theaters today. Besides without innovation we would not be where we are today. I think 3d right now is just the beginning of future concepts that are still being explored in theme parks ie smell effects, atmosphere effects, and even physical effects. There is always potential for improvement in 3d. They just need to come up with ways to improve on it while adding new effects to

I'm kinda for it...not really

The only reason I'm in it at all anymore is just to see what kind of technology Francis Ford Coppolla's got up his sleeve for this industry. I know he's working on something...aside from that, I'm glad it's on its way out, thanks to SONY for their death rattle.

i'm done with it....

granted i saw Transformers III in 3D and for th most part it worked... the problem is that it would work quite well as a 2D regular feature too... it's just a gimmick, it WASN'T an expensive gimmick for the consumer back in the 70's and 80's and that is what changed... the studios decided that they wanted to make more of a buck off the consumer, from IMAX... from 3D... from ANYTHING... anything but making a better movie. Anything that enhances the theater going experience is gimmick... make

The only movie I ever thought was entertaining in 3D was Avatar. And that began this whole shit storm of terrible 3D conversions looking to make more money off of the public (Clash of the Titans was the worst). Now with Sony refusing to pay for the glasses they should just stop. Call me when they make a movie that actually is BETTER because it's in 3D...

I never gave a shit about it to begin with. I am happy to watch it die. Just a money-grabbing gimmick IMO.

Tron: Legacy, Avatar, Drive Angry, Sanctum, and How to Train your Dragon were all great in 3D. I don't want 3D to go away altogether, I just want 3D conversions to go away. The 3D in Clash of the Titans was bad, and the 3D in Alice in Wonderland was even worse. 3D converted movies suck, and they give real movies shot in 3D a bad wrap.

Well conversions won't go away cause they're cheaper so I say eliminate both altogether.

The 3D in Avatar was amazing, but nothing has come close to the same quality. There have been some decent animation 3D films, but converts are an abomination.

I saw Avatar on Sydney, AU's 8 story IMAX screen yet Jackass 3D had the best 3D I've seen.

I've been done with it since ALICE IN WONDERLAND...

End 3D and invest in the next generation of IMAX and digital presentation. IMAX is the future ladies and gents, not 3D.
When I found out that 30 minutes of MI:4 was shot with IMAX cameras, I nearly pooped myself with happiness.

Yeah fuck the 3d nonsense

It doesnt add anything to the experience, just make a good movie in 2d instead of making all the trash movies with an 3d stamp on it to sell better.

Never got into it in the first place to be honest. I just saw 3D for the first time at Best Buy the other day, when they had one of their 3D TV's set up on display. It was ok, but it irritated my eyes after I walked away.
