Footloose is pretty great actually

Sorry guys, but the new Footloose is actually really good. I saw it a week ago in Atlanta, and i was shocked that it was as good as it was. Craig Brewer really put his stamp on it, and made it into an awesome drama/dance movis. Music such as The white stripes, Quiet Riot, Wiz Khalifa and much more make it pretty awsome for everybody. Either way though I loved it and its getting great critical reviews :) Go see it if you get the chance its a fun remake. Better than the original :)

Honestly, I'm torn between a few of them. I won't say which ones, but I WILL say...'Footloose' is not one of them. (In fact, the only movie that would make me actually want to see 'Footloose' instead is 'The Human Centipede' - come to think of it, both 1 AND 2.)

Had to go with The Rum Diary; nothing else on the list or another movie looks very interesting.

Caught Red State recently - not an incredible movie, but still cool and Michael Parks owns in this film.

Oh and the film i'm most looking forward to seeing this month is Troll Hunter, as my local arts cinema is finally getting around to screening it. Can't wait.

Off that list The Rum Diary, I'M not sure what else is coming out but if Martha Marcy May Marlene is coming out or We Need to Talk About Kevin then they are also on my list.

Already saw Red State (and loved it) so it's a tie between The Human Centipede II and the Rum Diary (awaits for thumbs down for mention of HC2)

Does morbid curiosity count as excitement?

Because that's how I feel about The Thing.

Martha Marcy May Marlene, without a doubt. Then again, most of us won't see it in October, but still, it's initial limited release finally comes on October 21.

Ghostbusters re-release!!

That should totally be on this list. Over here in the UK we don't get it til around Halloween, which is perfect. I here the US has it in theaters every Thursday of the month.

So yea, if you don't like the look of that list, go and see Ghostbusters in cinemas, because let's be honest, it's genuinely brilliant.

I chose None b/c there doesn't seem to be anything worth seeing in theaters. Some look like they could be decent rentals in the future (In Time, Rum Diary, Red State).

Not very exciting however . . .

I'm a big defender of John Carpenter's The Thing but this remake looks interesting in a Dawn of the Dead kind of way. I'm also a fan of Johnny Depp revisiting Hunter S. Thompson. I'm also an old Kevin Smith fan so even though I've heard terrible things about Red State I'm excited to see him trying something different.

Mine was The Ides of March, and I've seen it. Otherwise I'd go with Monsieur Lazhar, French-Canadian film.

Red State is excellent, though I wish Smith had been able to go through with the original ending. Since I've already seen it, I marked Three Musketeers without even looking at the other entries. So excited for more awesomenosity from W.S. and Milla.

Had to go with NONE. Absolutely nothing there intrigues me to be honest. I still kinda wish Scream 4 was released in October because it wouldve def made more at the box office during the Halloween season. I guess ill just be re-watching my old horror dvds this month.

Sure, an 8th film in a series that ran out of gas after part 2 is EXACTLY what this month needs!
