The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo gets an awesome graphic novel cover

Jan. 23, 2012by: Niki Stephens

So you've seen THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (both versions) and read the novel...what do you do now?

Plan on picking up the graphic novel, of course!

For those of you unaware, a comic version of the popular series is coming out care of Vertigo in November. The comic itself will be adapted by writer Denise Mina (Deception, Field of Blood) and artists Lee Bermejo (Batman: Noel, he also did the cover above), Leonardo Manco (Hellblazer) and Andrea Mutti (The Executor).

The cover for part one has been unveiled and I think it's pretty awesome myself. Anyone going to pick this up at their local comic shop?

Extra Tidbit: Shout out to Keith's Comics, my happy place.

Pretty lame cover, I bet the art inside is just as bland.

Are we now condensing novels into comic books? Farenheit 451 here we come.

While I agree the novel was a bit overrated it was still a solid read.

i never saw the films, neither have i read the books and honestly, i have no intention on doing so, with this i´m not saying they are bad, i´m just saying they do not appeal to me in any way.
on the subject at hand, i think the cover is really bad, the illustration looks like a 3d model made on poser like 10 years ago or something, it´s bad.

Don't believe the hype

The book was not that good in the first place. It was a solid Thriller. Nothing less but nothing more either.

I don't think it ever really claimed to be more than that. I blame Larsson's untimely death for the cultural explosion. But I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and the movies ain't bad at all.

If i'd seen all three?

well i have seen both movies after i had already read the book. And i can saw that it goes in this order
1. David Fincher Version
2. The Book
3. Swedish film
that said, while the art does look REALLY nice, i think i'm done with Millennium for a long while
