Guy Pearce with a big gun- the poster for Lockout

Feb. 16, 2012by: Alex Riviello

The new poster for scifi thriller LOCKOUT has just debuted on MTV.

Basically ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK IN SPACE, it's a film about a maximum security prison ship that's overrun by the inmates. What's worse is that the president's daughter has been kidnapped. Her only hope? Guy Pearce, playing a character named Snake- I mean, Snow. As the trailer says, "He's the best there is, but he's a loose cannon!"

So hardly the most original premise but still, it's a badass Guy Pearce in a scifi setting fighting space gangs, from the producers of TAKEN. How can we go wrong?

LOCKOUT will hit theaters on April 20th.

what happened to Guy

Talent. Looks. A strong start. I had such high hopes for him. But then again, I had the same hopes for Cary Elwes.

The movie is such a disappointment! But what I saw at the screening WAS R, so this PG13 US version is NOT what will be released in the rest of the world... And considering the over the top violence was one of the positive points of Lockout... Herrr MS:ONE... Herrr Lockout AGAIN, the US version shall be even worst!

Dammit! I was so hoping this would be R, but that poster confirms the PG 13. Guess that line "His name was Fuck You, I think he was Asian" contains the only swear word in the film. This might still be good, but can we get at least ONE R-rated action film this year?? Sly sure as hell ain't gonna give us one...

Is this PG-13?
If it is - Sly and Luc can suck me off.

It is definitely PG-13, but like other Europacorp titles it might've been censored especially for US audiences, while the rest of the world gets the R-rated cut ala Taken and Colombiana.

Love the very 90s action movie poster

I'm really glad they ditched that shitty MS-One title.

If you're gonna rip off Escape From New York, at least rip off its R-rating, you PG-13 piece of shit.

This looks like the poster for a DTV film.

But Guy Pearce is a boss and the movie looks good.

Did they change the name of this movie again? First it was Lockout, then M-something, then back to Lockout?
Either way this movie looks awesome.

You know what? He never crossed my mind for the part, but now that you say it, it's a very good idea! But isn't he a bit old?

movie looks amazing

and Guy Pearce is always awesome, great to see him get another lead in a bigger movie.
But... that is one shitty poster, ugh! Looks like a very generic straight to video action flick

but on a positive note hopefully the movie is actually called LOCKOUT... wasn't it initially called LOCK-OUT and then they changed to to MS ONE: MAXIMUM SECURITY (for which the 'MS' stood for Maximum Security lol) hopefully the title stays like this! can't wait!
