Gotta disagree with Streicher

Donnie Darko is underrated if anything. Certainly not overly praised. It's one of those movies that can change your entire perspective, both on life and movies in general. So, yeah, I think it deserves to be up there with The Gump. Jackie Brown a close third

Okay, I have to ask...

In what way did this dark, depressing, and boring movie change your entire perspective on life?
(I ask while trying not to laugh).

Other: Black Dynamite. That's the character's actual name.

Wow

Alot of good films here, hard to choose but im going with Barton Fink, which in my opinion is a masterwork. ed Wood and Donnie Brasco came close though.

Went with Forrest Gump. Thanks for including Hudson Hawk and I'm surprised it's already gotten 21 votes. Niiiice.

I voted for HH. One of my cheesy guilty pleasure movies. Aiello and Willis play great off each other. Puns and cheesy lines galore. "Oh Bunny. Ball, ball."

This is kinda freaky . . .

I've never noticed but all of those "first/last name" films are really good.

Good poll. As much as I love Jackie Brown, Donnie Brasco, Michael Collins, and Donnie Darko... I had to go with Forrest Gump.

That movie defines the United States of America... as most of its citizens are of the same IQ as Forrest Gump anyway. And Tom Hanks was amazing.

Oliver Twist has currently zero votes. Zero. Sheesh, that poor little bastard can't catch a fucken break! LOL. Someone at least get him some more lovely gruel.

I voted for FLASH AAAAAH! HE SAVED EVERY ONE OF US. But, other than FLASH AAAAAH!, I could have voted Forrest Gump, Rocky Balboa, or Michael Clayton or Depp's Donnie Brasco, Ed Wood, or Edward Scissorhands. Apparently, Depp and Sandler like these movies with first and last name titles.

Good pick although I believe the full title is "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery", so it technically wouldn't fit the criteria.

I don't get it...

Is it just me or is Donnie Darko one of the most over-rated movies of all time?

I don't hate it, but I certainly don't love it - I actually feel pretty indifferent to it. Why do people pretend it's brilliant film making?

Forrest Gump for me, though after seeing the results I wish I would've given it to Barton Fink. Love that movie.

I couldn't vote. I didn't know what movie to choose out of the three: (other) Malcolm X, Donnie Darko, or Forrest Gump. Those are all true favorites of mine.

I voted Forrest Gump. For fun I was trying to think of some titles not on your list, and I could only think of Sherlock Holmes and Peter Pan.
