Legend = Great Costume but NOT Satan

Interesting poll. But Tim Curry's character, while the most demonic of all those on this list, is known as "Darkness" and he refers to his own father in the movie, which leads me to believe he's some kind of demon / antichrist figure.

Oh, and where is George Burns in "Oh God, You Devil"?

I'm dumbstruck that Devil's Advocate is tops right now, because that was such an awful movie. Clearly the best devil here is from South Park, with Stormare meriting a clean second.

Jack

Jack Nicholson was an awesome devil, and didn't get the respect here he deserves. In Eastwick, he basically lives on earth doing whatever he wants. Lives in an awesome mansion, likes to have a crazy time. He makes you like him, all while still being evil on the inside. Jack deserves a few more votes, those who don't may find themselves puking up cherry's....

From the poll I went with Pacino but I too agree with those who say Mark Pellegrino is the best Lucifer. He was just so unbelievably awesome!

Tom Waits

Between Wristcutters, Parnassus, and Book of Eli - I'm not sure Tom Waits isn't actually some angel/demon

Um Tim Curry's character in Legend was not the devil but instead more of an antichrist. He certainly was demonic but devil he was not. The devil would imply him being more powerful when in actuality he was no more a servent to the darkness which he referred to as father. My vote went to south park since their version to say the least was definately different than all the typical devils played thus far.

I can't believe more people didn't vote for DeNiro in ANgel Heart, and it makes me think the Joe's here haven't seen it, which is shameful.

Harvey Keitel from Little Nicky and The South Park Devil, both great, albeit not scary, versions. I'd also through the Fantasia Devil was fantastic

Hard to choose

I'm going with Al Pacino for the speech at the end. And technically Tim Curry was Darkness, but his makeup is the stuff of . . . legend. I'm punny.

I vote for Peter Stormare. In Constantine, he had a very scary look and feelings of the character. I got shivers down my spine just watching the scene where he came to see Constantine at the movie climax.

I voted for Al Pacino in "The Devil's Advocate", basically because of his speech towards the end of the movie, which reminded me of Kevin Spacey's scene in "Se7en". It was incredibly well written and acted. I remember that scene better than the whole of the movie.

Peter Stormare was the perfect Lucifer in my opinion. The fact that he wore a perfect white suit with black oil dripping from his feet was beyond brilliant and his performance gives me chills.
