How could you forget---

Le Dernier Combat aka The Last Battle. It's a gem of a film. Perfect? No. Not even. But I love it still.

Leon

Then The Transporter. I hated The Fifth Element, but I recommend it just to show how diverse Gary Oldman is as an actor.

I voted Leon but expected Taxi to be much higher as it's such a good film.
Perhaps people thought it was the American version rather than the French.

I couldn't decide

Depends on the mood I'm in, but I'm a sucker for most of them and love this type of entertainment and feel Lockout will be one of the top. If anyone has seen Saint and Mather's short film (Prey Alone) then you'll know you're in for a treat, but here goes me top 5 if I had to choose.

1. The Transporter
2. Taken
3. Leon
4. The Fifth Element
5. D 13
Hon. Mention: Unleashed

The Professional, not even a contest. Cinematic masterpiece.

Leon of course. It's an action masterpiece. Would have to say Nikita afterwards, followed by Fifth Element, then Unleashed. Looking forward to Lockout. It looks cheesy as hell, but in a fun way.

Leon and Nikita might be the bests, but 5th Element is still my favourite, as far as Besson as director goes...
Ho, and, by the way, MS:ONE... Sorry LOCKOUT is shite, trust me, I've seen it a long time ago !

Unleashed with Jet Li

is HIGHLY underrated, so that's my choice. It's very very close to my #2 and 3 though, which would be The Transporter and The Fifth Element.

I don't care if the box office analysts think it will bomb, I am gonna be in a theater for Lockout opening day.

I love Leon, La Femme Nikita, and Angel-A all pretty equally, but The Big Blue was my first introduction to Besson. I really do hope a blu-ray version of this movie gets released here in the states. Fantastic movie based on the life of a real guy.

AS FOR ...

... production Taken definitely, as a director Fifth Element was his last great movie, and that was way back in '97. I miss him as a director, always felt he lost a bit of himself when he started producing other people's movies.
