Shane Black lets fly a few vaguely new details about Iron Man 3

Iron Man pic - sparks

We probably already know just about everything that we're going to know concerning IRON MAN 3's storyline for a long while, but during Disney's recent event at CinemaCon director Shane Black had a few things to say that provide good material to fuel the fire of speculation.

Black spoke while Disney was showing off a sizzle reel for its upomcing titles, dubbing IRON MAN 3 "a 'technological thriller' and a 'crisis movie' set in the world of 'international war, arms and terror,' saying that they will 'put Tony Stark through the wringer' as they explore the trials of being Tony Stark." And while the villain is as of yet unrevealed, Black assured audiences that the character played by Sir Ben Kingsley would "frighten in today's world."

Which leads to an interesting question - what would frighten you?

Tony Stark returns to cinemas without The Avengers for backup in a little over a year from now on May 3rd, 2013.

Extra Tidbit: Reportedly, Tom Cruise was for a while seriously interested in producing and starring in IRON MAN.

I recently updated talking about this, He needs to be a villain that will bring Tony onto his knees, not literally of course. He needs to be a villain that will make Ironman himself questioning about his own existence.

So Ben Kingsley is going to play a young Asian girl that comes out of a TV to kill me?

I bet these guys are gonna have a love-hate relationship...

...with being in these Marvel movies. Especially Downey and Evans (isn't Evans signed for like 8 films total?!). On one hand it resurrected Downey's career and he said how much fun it is, but you gotta wonder if going straight from Iron Man 2 to Avengers back to Iron Man 3 straight into Avengers 2 and probably then into more of the same for each franchise will tire the poor guy. I do hope they start to let a little more time lapse between sequels because he's a tremendous actor and I don't just

Don't worry I won't spoil Avengers for you.

There is a scene in Avengers that will go down in super hero history as The Scene. Its between Thor and Hulk. I won't tell you but when you guys see it you'll say ahhh thats what the silly bugger on Joblo was raving on about. Seriously its a cracker. There's a bit after the fancy end credits but nothing after the final black screen credits which was a let down but still you guys are gonna FREAK AND GEEK OUT. I did.

Since earlier news hinted at Extremis storyline, I don't think I'd get to see Titanium Man or Crimson Dynamo here. Sad. Nevertheless, with Guy Pearce and Sir Ben Kingsley in, I'm sure Iron Man 3 will turn out awesome.
