Which is your favorite superhero team: The Avengers or The Justice League?

The Avengers
The Justice League
Neither - I'm more a "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" type
No teams - I like superheroes best by themselves

What...?

No option for other, because I would take The X-Men any day. But for the poll at hand, I'll take The Avengers. Justice League and DC suck balls.

Justice League!

Dear Warner Bros.

Please directly copy what Marvel Studios did and make a series of run-up films leading to a grand JL movie. Don't worry, I absolutely don't care if it looks like you're stealing Marvel's ideas, please just make these movies. I will happily buy tickets, I promise. Protip: be sure you hire actors who can leave their egos at the door to make an ensemble feature (like Robert Downey Jr. did, but not like Christian Bale would). Please also forget the idea that you have to

Sincerely,

Avengers

Justice League just can't work in a movie with characters like Wonder Woman or Martian Manhunter...it's going to be hard to get Batman and Superman in the same movie. It works in the comics because Batman is a lot more agile and nimble, but in the movie he cannot keep up with Superman. Especially Zack Snyder's version which is probably going to be ridiculously powerful and over the top.

Avengers. Justice League is a moody grumpy fuck: batman, a goody goody douche: Superman, a girl power cliche: wonder woman. Green Lantern is kinda cool, but the movie sucked.
Avengers were all cool, except Captain A, he's a bit too goody goody like Superman.

I like both

Still I collect more Justice league comics than the Avengers one, Justice League needs a great representation of their characters to give some fight to the Avengers movie... and a lot of luck. They need to do things right. Contract comics writers to do comics based movies.

The Juatice League. There's just a lot of great comics about the League. Tower of Babel, Morrison's run, etc. If only they could get competent people for the movie, say the guys responsable for Justice League animated series, this would make for an awesome epic. Just a duel between Batman and Superman would be one of the best things ever shown in cinemas

Marvel Guy

In both comics and movies, I vastly prefer the Marvel universe. DC has greater villains, but I like the more relatable aspects of the Marvel folks. As such, "The Avengers" all the way.

Sidenote- Batman is one of the most overrated heroes (super or otherwise) of all time.

I don't mind team-ups, but I always preferred individual superhero stories. Unless you're talking about X-Men, which should be a choice, since they we're originally created to be a team.

Forgetting the awesomeness that was the Avengers movie, JLA (particulary under Grant Morrison) is some of the finest superhero team comics ever written. The characters and stories were so much bigger than life, they blow away most anything Marvel has done with their guys, short of the Ultimates.

Avengers

Less cheesy characters (although I would have liked Thor being more fantastic and medieval, than "high-tech"). Marvel, a more interesting universe overall, characters with depth and flaws.

Looking forward to the new Superman film though.

I'm surprised...

that at this point JL has such a big lead. Outside of Batman the rest of the DC heros are more "super power" oriented. How do they tie that into Nolan's realistic Batman world. I was wondering how Marvel was going to do it since Phase one starts with Ironman, but they did a nice tie in job without being ridiculous on the fantasy elements...Would I see a JL movie, yeah just to see how it would finally turn out because its been talked about for years, but again outside Bats I was more interested

I wish I could've put Justice League because the animated series that was on cartoon network was sooo awesome. The stories for the first two seasons were so good and almost felt like mini movies. However as far as comics and obvioulsy movies go avengers takes the cake. the storylines in the regular avengers and even the ultimate version is captivating and easy to follow. Justice League comics are horrible. Thats just the truth. Convoluted storylines that don't make any sense and two-part

Justice League is leaps and bounds cooler than The Avengers. Thor, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America wished they were half as cool as Superman, Flash, Batman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter.

DC

The core group of Justice League would own the Avengers. If WB had any sense and copied the Marvel solo flicks leading into a Justice League movie, it would be the biggest movie of all time.

Superman and Batman are greater than all other superheros. F a Justice league movie and just do a Superman Batman movie, if done right would make The Avengers look like chump change.

I'm a DC guy and really loved what Bruce Timm and Paul Dini did with their animated version of the Justice League. If the live-action movie captures that feel and dynamic somehow, it would be more than I could ask for.
