Will Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady appear in the Ninja Turtles movie?
Not sure if you are happy about the recent push back of the NINJA TURTLES movie under the supervision of Michael Bay. Turtles walking away from explosions? Honestly, I'd be happy going the rest of my life without another live-action turtles movie. The trilogy for the 90s serves well enough for me. Yes, I even enjoy the third movie.
I was fanatical about TMNT as a kid. When Burger King did promotion for the movies, I ate there every week. I wanted those VHS cartoons! I was brought back to those days this morning when I read that Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady might be making an appearance in the Jonathan Liebesman directed take.
Now before I get into this, the film was pushed back from 2013 to 2014 in order to do a major script overhaul. So the possibility that this news is true may not even matter if it gets cut out of a newer draft. In June, Elmayimbe from Latino Review read through the earlier draft of the script and leaked the details:
"Reading a script called THE BLUE DOOR by Nemec & Applebaum. THE BLUE DOOR is the secret code name for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES! ;)"
"Skimming through Turtles, I see KRANG and THE TECHNODROME RT"
"Skimming through, I also see BEBOP and ROCKSTEADY and see something called DIMENSION X. RT"
Krang always grossed me out. Regardless, I still had the action figure of Krang inside the mechanical man suit. He proved to be a great adversary when it was time to play Turtles. Most of you who are fans of TMNT know about the aforementioned characters. What's interesting is the plot that ComicBookMovie.com found:
“After their planet’s destruction, four turtle-like alien warriors and their master come to Earth, where they join forces with reporter April O’Neil to prevent the extradimensional conqueror Krang from enslaving the human race.”
Well, that definitely sounds like a Michael Bay film. If these characters do make it to the feature, are you likely to see it?
