MOVIE POLL: What did you think about the new Total Recall?

What did you think about the new Total Recall?

Saw it, dug it!
Ugh. Glossy but lousy.
Didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.
Skipped it, the previews didn't impress me.
No Arnie, no deal. I'll stick with the original.

Complete piece of crap.

The visuals were pretty, the action was meh, and you could care less about what happens to the characters. By the end of the movie I was hoping the whole cast would killed off so I could go home and give myself a mind wipe. Cmon hollywood give me a fuckin break.

OK

I give it 3 out of 5. The sound could have been better and the story tweaked to keep the movie from being one long chase. Jessica Biel didn't get the best showcase; Len Wiseman featured his wife in this film, unlike the smaller Sharon Stone role in the original. Kate sure played a tough bitch and really chewed up the screen when she was there.
Bryan Cranston simply channeled Evil Walt for his part. Colin Farrell was good as usual.

Not bad

The original is far better, no doubt. Some dialogues were draggy and nonsense. But overall, an okay flick.

But where's a proper ass-shot of Jessica Biel?!

The look of the film was pretty cool, even though it looked like somebody had seen Blade Runner a few too many times. I also didn't have any problem with the plot even though certain parts were pretty ridiculous. What made it such a bad movie were the generic, repetitive action sequences. Not one memorable scene in the entire movie.

Good film, fun ride and visually a lot to take in but love the vision of the future and how they translated that to the big screen.

I found it okay, a 3/5. The action sequences were pretty cool, and the maglev/elevator chases and the finale at "The Fall" were genuinely exciting in parts. However, it just brought nothing new to the table, everything felt like things we've seen before in other films of this genre. It was certainly watchable, but neither special nor groundbreaking, and Total Recall probably did not warrant a remake. Kate Beckinsale as an evil, heartless bitch was great though - she clearly had a lot of fun
