SEXY BEAST writers Louis Melles and David Scinto are back with another Brit gangster movie called 44 INCH CHEST, featuring Ian McShane, Tom Wilkinson, John Hurt and Ray Winstone. Now that's a pile of grizzled Brit. I bet there will be some small amount of profanity.
I'm not certain sure how the title plays into the plot (breasts, I hope), but there's definitely a strong enough cast and style to merit attention. The movie involves a London gangster (Winstone) who kidnaps his wife's lover as a means of payback, a plan which naturally goes wildly awry.
Commercial director Malcolm Venville makes his feature debut, but without Ben Kingsley or Uzi-toting rabbits.
