Clem!

I love him best as Clem from Joe DIrt. The idea of him trying not to be the tough guy but failing was classic.
"You're talking to me all wrong... It's the wrong tone. You do it again and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron."
"Hey, tell me, does your mother sew?" BANG. "Get her to sew that! "

I agree with the group. Walken is great in most everything that he does. SNL appearances exemplify this truth especially. If you never have, check-out the skits "Stalk Talk" and "Colonel Angus". Also, people might like to see The Mind Snatchers, a recent DVD release. It is an early Walken movie and rather obscure. Any Walken fan would appreciate it.

He's great in everything, really - but I did love his performance in 'The Maiden Heist' which, unfortunately got a direct-to-DVD release. It's him, William H Macy and Morgan Freeman as three museum guards who decide to steal artworks that they have grown attached to when the museum collection has to be shipped overseas - now how cool is that? Walken gets an incredible opening daydream sequence which involves an over-the-top gun battle. I really wish A View to a Kill was a better film than it

I really wish A View to a Kill was a better film than it was, because given a different script and character, Walken could have truly been a mind-blowing Bond villain. That movie wasted his talent!

Man, never realized how many famous 'scenes' he's known for. True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Annie Hall, Sleepy Hollow. One, two scenes at the max in any of these movies and he's universally renown for them all.

The king of the cameo.

Chris Walken. Brilliiant in small doses.

DAMN!

That has to be the most difficult decision i've had to make in these poll's. I love Walken! I love his monologue in The Rundown about the tooth fairy. I had to pick SNL just because I've watched his best of's so many times and they've given me so much happiness. As for his movies, how do you chose, even the bad ones he's awesome in. Too hard to pick just one.

I almost agree with ElderPredator, but "At Close Range" comes to mind as a movie that fully utilizes Walken as an actor. He's scary as hell in that, but not in an overtly Walken-esque way like in his later films. But I love him in just about everything.

'Blast From the Past.' Hands-down. He's so humble and funny and not over-the-top or (too) weird. He's just perfect as Adam's father.

King of New York

Walken is like Buscemi...he's a character actor. He's always cast as either a gangster or a crazy dude...but he does it so well. King of New York, to me, is his best film. I saw it at a friend's house back in the day and I just love his performance. he was so raw in that movie
