Watched it yesterday and asked myself the same question. I voted both, but if I had to decide I would say Halloween. I am more in the mood for it in autumn than on christmas...

I think it's both, I consider it a true holiday movie. I think Jack is the embodiment of the misinterpretation of Christmas and how it's gotten overly commercialized. All that stuff T.D. said below me. I think it's about people being grateful for what they have and if they don't get everything they want it is still okay. I think it is Tim Burton's holiday fable.

Its both, but IMO more of a Halloween movie...in the sense that its Tim Burton's little rebuke to the expanding commercialization of Christmas. Look at today, Thanksgiving has essentially become 'Christmas Part One' and the new thing apparently for retailers this year is the concept of 'OctoNovemCember' (look it up, I'm not kidding)...a holiday shopping season that begins in October. Walmart's already had their lay-away ads on TV for weeks now.

So Burton made a movie where the opposite

So Burton made a movie where the opposite happens. Instead of Christmas taking over Halloween...Halloween takes over Christmas.

Horrible poll.....

If you're asking us which holiday we consider the film to be MORE of, don't give "Both" as an option! That's just childish. It's like being in elementary school and asking who someone's best friend is: Billy or Tommy or Both. Even "Never liked the movie to begin with" is a silly option. You aren't asking us for our opinion on the movie, you are asking us which holiday is better for it! The options for this poll should have been: Halloween, Christmas, or I've never seen the film. THAT'S IT.
