Kristen Stewart signs on to Snow White and The Huntsman sequel

Nov. 19, 2012by: Paul Shirey

Kristen Stewart has singed on to her first post-TWILIGHT role by playing it safe and hopscotching into another franchise, that of SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN.  The actress will reprise her role as the now-Queen Snow White in the sequel to the film, which brought in a worldwide gross of $396 million.  No word on whether or not Hemsworth will return, but I'm sure he's a safe bet.

"The script has already been written and production will begin late next year," said a source to Radaronline. "However, Rupert Sanders definitely won't be a part of the project. Rupert didn't want to be a part of it to begin with because he is desperately still trying to save his marriage. The search is still on for a new director."

I never had any notion that they'd keep Sanders and toss Stewart for the sequel as one is much more bankable than the other.  After their sordid affair was revealed during production the prospects of a sequel became mired in drama and it was unclear if the box office was enough to merit one.  Thank the stars for worldwide grosses, I suppose.

Personally, I thought SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN was an asinine mess (but nowhere near as awful as the competing MIRROR, MIRROR), but I do like Stewart, who is still a very young actress (22) with a long road ahead of her if she plays her cards right.  Another franchise is a safe venture and I can see the logic in taking the role, but I think Stewart has more in her.  We'll see.

Stewart will next be seen in ON THE ROAD, showing her lady lumps and giving handy's, which is playing in limited venues.

The girl can rock a premiere, though...

Extra Tidbit: So, who do we think could take the reins of the sequel and not sleep with the main star? Does it really matter?

Biased

Geez, you people are biased. It was a messy movie and Stewart was a weak link, but I admire what they tried to do with it. I'll probably see the sequel just because it'll be something to go see. I think its funny the double standard over Stewart and Sanders. She gets labeled as the biggest slut in Hollywood and he gets off scott-free with little mention. Either way what does that have to do with the movie itself?

Tidbit: Brian Singer, Roland Emmerich or Joel Schumacher

Because none of them will sleep with Stewart.

She was easily the worse thing in a movie replete with bad. I did have hopes we might get an interesting film out of Hemsworth's character, but alas, she will continue to dope-eyes through scenes and suck all the energy out of a scene by her mere presence. She is horrible, and I can't wait till her train derails, a la Megan Fox.

At least Megan Fox didn't wreck a marriage or hurt a movie's quality.

Sequel?! Why?!? Oh, that's right, apparently for some strange unfathomable reason a large demographic of emotionally bereft teenage girls think she's awesome.
(Hint: she isn't.)
Oh, and next time you're wearing that dress, lose the granny panties. (but not with the nearest director)

Be careful, Chris...

ET: Brian Singer, Joel Schumacher, Roland Emmerich and a few other that would be more interested in Hemsworth's "muscles" than Stewart's "mouth"...

Basically, they saw the Twilight numbers and changed their minds. She may go down as the biggest slut in Hollywood, but she will also be the best paid. She's going to be around for awhile.

Wow my hopes for the sequel just went right out the window, she was pretty much the only truly awful thing about the first movie.
