Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson have a bigger American dream than you says this poster for Pain & Gain

There's something very awesome about this new poster for Michael Bay's PAIN AND GAIN.

Maybe Mark Wahlberg's head looks a little shopped...or maybe his face is really that smooth and handsome. Regardless, I have a feeling that these two will make a terrific pairing. This may also be a film that will make me think a little more of Bay. I'm not so much for an explosion in every other scene and tough-acting underwear models (Wahlberg being the exception).

The film is based on this crazy true story from the Miami New Times about, "three personal trainers in 1990s Miami who, in pursuit of the American Dream, get caught up in a criminal enterprise that goes horribly wrong. Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Rob Corddry, Rebel Wilson and Bar Paly also star. The film is based on magazine articles by Pete Collins, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and produced by Donald DeLine, Michael Bay and Ian Bryce."

PAIN AND GAIN is due out April 26, 2013. Check back for a trailer which is said to be coming in the coming weeks.

I see that Rob Corddry is co-staring..why does he always play a jerk in movies? he wasnt good in Harold and Kumar 2 and was weird in HOT TUB TIME MACHINE...it would be nice for once, for him to play a serious guy for once.

I've been anticipating this for a while because Bay himself has been talking how it's a smaller movie than he usually does. That, and the cast sounds pretty great. Except I can only imagine what Bay could have in store for Rebel Wilson.

Wahlberg isn't a small guy...but damn if the Rocks arms don't look bigger than Mark's thighs haha. Dwayne looks like he went beastmode.

Sorry, there's no "ugly potato face" filter in Photoshop. That's called genetics.

Gotta love Mark Wahlberg trying to out-eyebrow arch the People's Eyebrow himself!

Like Wahlberg and Johnson, but not so much Bay. From the sound of the plot, this seems like it could go back to something like Bad Boys, which would be all right. That was one of Bay's few films that I actually quite enjoyed.
