Bat update

06.24.2004

So if you're were planning on going to see SPIDER-MAN 2 next week and were expecting to see the teaser trailer for BATMAN BEGINS, expect to be disappointed. Cinescape, the same site that reported that the trailer may run with SPIDER-MAN, is now saying the studio backed out of that idea last minute and is now focusing on attaching the trailer to I, ROBOT on July 16. It's unclear at this time why the trailer won't be in theaters next Wednesday but it would appear that it has nothing to do with the trailer itself. Cinescape also reports the trailer is locked in at just over two minutes in length putting to rest the rumors of a trailer with no substantial footage (like that stupid TERMINATOR 3 logo trailer). The trailer will run attached to CATWOMAN no matter what movie it premieres in front of and will definitely have a significant presence at the San Diego Comic-Con at the end of July. Stay tuned to JoBlo.com for more.

In other BATMAN BEGINS news, I know you've seen the images below before in Newsweek magazine's article on the film, but I hadn't seen any hi-res versions on the web so far, so here you are, courtesy of a longtime JoBlo friend. Click the image below to see a larger version that's much better than the scanned copies you're seeing across the web. Enjoy!
