It was a tough call since I have been looking forward to John Dies and the End and Mama Equally.

Everyone needs to see Zero Dark Thirty, it is utterly amazing. Chastain is amazing, it is her movie and she delivers. In my opinion she completely deserves the Oscar. 10/10.

On a sidenote I cannot wait for Gangster Squad. I was extremely upset when this movie got pushed to January. I will certainly be there opening night. Also after looking at January's movies I realize its a pretty good month in movies. Minus Parker and Haunted House January may not be the unholy dumping ground that it used

Voted ZD30

Talk about a movie that sounded bogus but has looked better and better and better as it gets closer to its release...

Also not to be missed are festival darlings hitting limited releases such as LUV, Amour, Rust & Bone, etcetera... should be a packed month for anyone in a metropolitan area that might stand to actually get these films.

Hansel and Gretel and Gangster Squad are the only ones here that interest me. I'm a fan of Arnold the movie star but The Last Stand just looks weak. Plus I'm not all that jazzed about seeing Johnny Knoxville do basically the same thing he did in Walking Tall.

Movie 43

Zero Dark Thirty would be first, but im a purist and think of it as a Dec release.
Gangster Squad looks awesome but comes in a close second
Hansel And Gretel looks exciting and could be good, but i remember "Bro. Grimm" "Van Helsing" LoEG" and feel that this could go the same direction. So that one i'm really waiting on reviews.

everything else i wouldnt mind missing

Gangster Squad is my most anticipated. Looks great. I'm also looking forward to seeing Hansel and Gretel (die hard fan of Jeremy Renner), and Zero Dark Thirty.

Very much looking forward to Zero Dark. The limited release in December was a tease for me and all the great reviews have only made it more so. Other than that, The Last Stand just for Arnie's return and Jee-woon Kim's first Hollywood feature, Gangster Squad looks good with a great cast and Movie 43 looks hilarious, also with a great cast. Broken City maybe, Parker probably.

The Last Stand and Parker, definitely.

Movie 43, A Haunted House, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Mama, probably.

The Impossible, will try.

John Dies At the End, maybe.

Zero Dark Thirty and Gangster Squad, definitely *NOT.* (Absolutely no interest in either.)

Don't know the others.

Your choices are horrible. You have no interest in Zero Dark Thirty or Gangster Squad but in A Haunted House? Horrible.

Soloist, why you have to be a dick about it? Coming down on someone for looking forward to genre pieces while looking forward to Gangster Squad is COMPLETELY hypocritical. If the movie was good at all it would have been released with a chance to compete for awards this year or held into later... it wasn't because the movie isn't. Perhaps crappy genre piece entertaining for those who like that sort of thing? Of course. Just like Haunted House. Essentially, all you are saying is "you don't follow

Essentially, all you are saying is "you don't follow the general consensus of mainstream critics?... WELL THEN YOUR TASTE IS HORRIBLE." At least he has an original idea. And you're looking forward to Hansel & Gretel?!?! I have no problem with your opinions, but you don't have a leg to stand on coming down on him here.

AceD why you have to be a dick about it?

lulz for the internet hero. That's an obviously upside down list.
