Wreck-It Ralph 2 may feature appearances from Tron and Mario

WRECK-IT RALPH was a big hit for Disney, once again proving that non-Pixar animation can survive at the studio. Despite big box office and an Oscar nomination, a sequel is still not official, but director Rich Moore already has some ideas on who he would like to appear in the sequel.

Moore told Coming Soon that Disney's Tron was going to be referenced in the first film but "can't specifically remember why that didn't happen. Of course, with a sequel, I'm hoping that we can find a way to see Tron himself in that movie."

Moore also hinted at wanting to get Mario to appear. That may not be difficult seeing as Bowser made an appearance in the original, but I get a feeling the sequel would follow Ralph being ported to a console of some sort and having to rescue his friends.

WRECK-IT RALPH was a good deal of fun. Yes, it copies the core structure of TOY STORY, but it does have a good heart and lots of great video game references. I planning to grab WRECK-IT RALPH on Blu-ray and hope a sequel comes sooner rather than later.

Please let Charles Martinet do it...

I really hope they get the original guy who's been doing the games for years...

....also, I'd love to see some reference to Captain Lou Albano from the SMB Super Show!

I loved how they added Street Fighter in the first one, glad to hear of a sequel with more cameos.

Awesome. Best animated film of the year for me. I only want a sequel if Disney does it right, not like those direct-to-vidoe cheap-quels Disney made in the 90's and 2000's. I only saw a few of them, but they were all awful and unworthy of being related to the original film.

Pokemon

they may not get the rights to the actual Pokemon game but it would be really cool to get some references or parodies in there.

I'd love to see Castlevania and Monsters In My Pocket in the next Wreck-It Ralph though.

Its a great movie, but i dont know about a sequel. Its not really Disney's thing. So far they have had 4 sequels part of the canon, 3 of them were anthology films (Three Caballeros, Fantasia 2000, and Winnie the Pooh). The forth was Rescuers Down Under. It was also 60 years between Fantasias, 13 years between Rescuers, and 34 years between Winnie the Poohs. (2 years between Saludos Amigos and Three Caballeros, but they were propaganda films for the war). Having Wreck-It Ralph release even 10

Im not totally against it, i loved Wreck-it Ralph, I just think this might be a slippery slope for Disney.
