I am surprised in myself this year because there's nothing coming out that I am fanatical about, and there usually is one big summer movie I am. But Pacific Rim for me this year is probably my most anticipated. A lot of the big summer films look good, but Pacific Rim has me excited.

Pacific Rim

A buddy of mine that works in the industry saw the rough cut about a month ago, and says that it's everything a summer movie should be (and used to be). Says it's one of the best summer movies he has seen in a long time.

Normally I'd say Man of Steel here, but 1. it's Zack Snyder, and 2. the trailers are regurgitating lines from Donner's 1978 movie again. I've been burned once by Singer's crapsterpiece, and I won't be lulled into a false sense of security so easily again.

How does Iron Man 3 look like a Dark Knight Rises ripoff? Does Iron Man 3 have huge plot holes that don't make any sense that we haven't seen yet?

Man of Steel

Easily looking forward to this the most, its been over 30 years since we have had a good Superman movie and this looks like its really going to be awesome and set up DC to build their movies up

Man of Steel hands down. Can we please have a proper DC cinematic universe already, WB?

Well I chose Man Of Steel over Iron Man 3 because we already know what to expect from Marvel. I really want to find out if Man Of Steel is as good as it looks & well to me it's already better than anything Superman Returns was.

Other I will be checking out are: World War Z (out of curiousity), Iron Man 3 (DUH!), Fast & Furious 6 (easy popcorn flick), The Wolverine (another that can't be worse than the last one),The Hangover 3 (just love these moves & The Wolfpack), White House Down

These could be hit or miss for me: The Lone Ranger, RIPD, Now You See me, 2 Guns, Elysium

It used to be Iron Man 3, but after the last trailer for Man of Steel, my hype has been on maximum overdrive for it.

I'm gonna have to go with MoS on this one. Runner-up: Iron Man 3; mainly for Shane Black, as I LOVE Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I'm excited for Elysium and Pacific Rim as well.

Looks like a good summer (on paper at least). I am most excited about Iron Man 3 and Hangover III (huge fan of the first one), but a lot of these movies I will certainly see, including Man of Steel, Wolverine, WWZ, Monsters U, Fast & Furious and Elysium, while the remaining ones I will still likely see.

Surprising year

Never would i have thought that my two top picks for the summer are a Star Trek film and a Superman film. I was just never a big fan of either franchises (although I now have a deep love for ST: TNG). However both of these films look to blow away all others this summer. Iron Man 3 looks alright but i'm still turned off after part 2. Wolverine is still a wild card for me. He's by far my favorite Marvel character but I'm still on the fence with that.

Iron Man 3

I chose Iron Man 3, but most of these films (Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Wolverine, Pacific Rim, Star Trek, Hangover Part 3, and RIPD) are in one giant tie anyway.

uh oh

not looking good for The Lone Ranger, haha. Can't say that I"m exactly looking forward to that one myself. Star Trek's where it's at this summer. Nothing else comes close, except maybe Iron Man 3. Pacific Rim? Maybe. I honestly don't understand the hype for Man Of Steel. Superman is a tough nut to crack in this day and age, and Zack Snyder didn't really impress the mainstream masses with The Watchmen. Superman Returns is the only movie that could make $200 million and still be

Superman is a tough nut to crack in this day and age, and Zack Snyder didn't really impress the mainstream masses with The Watchmen. Superman Returns is the only movie that could make $200 million and still be considered a failure (excluding Pearl Harbor), and Nolan's Batman franchise has obviously lost steam. Does anyone think a fourth Batman movie would make more money then either the second or third? My point is, Batman is more popular than Superman, and I just feel this movie is gonna have an uphill climb. I think Star Trek Into Darkness is gonna blow everyone away.

0 votes for Lone Ranger at 417 voters. Good thing Disney has Star Wars to fall back on to recoup some funds

Man of Steel will definitely be the biggest movie this summer, but I have to say I'm more interested in Elysium at this point.

I beg to differ. I wish it were Star Trek Into Darkness. But I fear the title of biggest movie of the summer will go to Iron Man 3. Everyone here has apparently forgotten the success of The Avengers. Hello, Iron Man was a big part of that!

I don't think Man of Steel will be the biggest movie of the summer, box office wise.
