the results are pretty in line with how i would rank them. star trek 6 was always my favorite of the old ones though, and i think First Contact is underrated. And Generations man...when Data first gets the emotion chip, and then the Enterprise D ends up crash landing on that planet. He finds his cat Spot in the wreckage of the bridge and he cries with joy. Shatner's Kirk returns to save the crew of the enterprise once again (or at least their captain). And the scenes of Picard in the Nexus

And the scenes of Picard in the Nexus riding on horseback and living his wildest dreams....only to be sheparded back to reality by the soothing voice of Whoopi Goldberg's Guinan. That's a good one you guys. Generations always gets the short end of the stick.

With these type of poles you can always see the the age gap of the readership. Wrath of Kahn for the older guys and Star Trek for the younger ones.

Voyage Home. The mind-melding with the whale, the "LDS", the Chekhov looking for his "nuclear wessels"?

Okay, it was pretty funny, but it's Into Darkness for me.

:)

I'm one of those trolls who enjoys Star Trek the Motion Picture. I don't know why, but it's still my favorite. Love the new ones. My favorite from TNG is First Contact.

Not my favorite, but I can certainly understand liking it. I think it's much more enjoyable than it gets credit for. First Contact was good stuff as well.

From the voting it appears that there are 6 good Star Trek movies and 6 bad ones, which is true.

If I had to chose my most watchable Trek it's Wrath of Khan. If I had to rank my most favored Trek movies II, VI, XI, IV, I, & First Contact.

I actually like 1 2 3 6 - the rest are up and down. I think people should let the JJ ones breath a bit before declaring they are the best. I mean his movies are really just borrowing elements from other established stuff and toying with it. That is much easier than creating something from scratch - like your own characters for example. Which is what should've happened. If JJ made his own characters in the Trek universe, no one would be pissed off - keep the same level of quality filming, but

Wrath of Khan with Undiscovered Country right behind

To the poor, lonely soul who selected Insurrection, I'm sorry for whatever happened in your life to have so clearly lead you down such a dark, confused path.

That was a real good one. Christopher Plummer was Chang in that one. That was one to make you think about racism.

@Iron_Chinchilla -- For sure! I always really loved the conclusion, flying off into the stars, and all the characters literally signing off their characters!

Wrath Of Khan and Undiscovered country are my favorite ones. But my disclaimer is that Undiscovered Country seemed like the "forever swan son" of the old Trek, where they were months from retirement. It still maintained some of the campy nature of the old trek series. But Wrath of Khan had a great story, and great villain.
Also I did like the JJ Abrams Star Trek film. It was daring.
