RATATOUILLE

Perhaps it was the experience of seeing my first preview screening that wasn't just another midnight screening (I think this screening was a month before it officially released), and the whole experience surrounding, but Ratatouille is my favorite Pixar movie. Unbelievable animation, incredible story, adorable rodent, such emotion, perfect ending... oh my God. It was so good. I loved it. Not a single thing I dislike about it. It is perfect.

Unbelievable animation, incredible story, adorable rodent, such emotion, perfect ending... oh my God. It was so good. I loved it. Not a single thing I dislike about it. It is perfect.

That's not to say the other Pixar movies are underwhelming or bad, though. Before Cars 2 came out and shit on the cinematic world, and then Brave decided to eat that shit and shit out that shit for the world to see (and apparently fall in love with? I'll never understand the positivity aimed at Brave), all of Pixar's catalog was amazing. A Bug's Life is still a little slow for my tastes, but other than that they had a near-perfect run with all their movies. Ratatouille just gets me a little more invested and owns most of my heart, is all :P

Monsters University was hopefully a good turn-around for Pixar... I loved it a lot. It was insanely hilarious, which I honestly wasn't expecting. Unfortunate that the story was so cliched and predictable until the last 20 minutes or so, but that's a minor quibble. After the shit-storm that was Brave, I won't complain about a new Pixar movie being great.

Not an all-time greatest Pixar movie, but hopefully the stepping stone to a better [link] Nemo/Etc. Pixar world :)

So yeah, concisely: Ratatouille.

Wall-E is my favorite.

That stupid little robot made me cry....I also love the whole take on humanity and where we could be headed, the trash, the way everyone was obese, tech did everything and no one could actually DO anything. Plus Wall-E is just the sweetest little thing. If I had to do a Top 5 for me personally:

1: Wall-E
2: Finding Nemo
3. The Incredibles
4: Monsters, Inc
5: Ratatoullie

I assume since I don't have a Toy Story film in there I am about to get a lot of thumbs down, but those films

I just never had that kind of "relationship" with my toys as a kid. My folks bought me dolls and I just chopped them up and hung them to make Haunted Houses for my friends..lol. Maybe my Star Wars toys.....which I still have.

I honestly cannot decide. There are so many I like for many different reasons. Wall-E and Toy Story 3 are probably tied as my two top favorites, but I really like the entire Toy Story series, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, UP, and Brave. Pixar has just been so consistent making good films that it's hard to pick just one as a favorite.

This is really tough...

If I had to pick one I would say that The Incredibles is probably the one that I enjoy the most, but if I had to try to pick their BEST I would say:

1. WALL-E
2. Toy Story (tie)
2. Toy Story 3 (tie)
4. Toy Story 2
5. The Incredibles
6. Finding Nemo
7. Ratatouille
8. Monsters Inc.
9. Up
10. Monsters University
11. Brave
12. A Bug's Life
13. Cars
14. Cars 2

The Incredibles is just a great movie period. Fun to watch the tenth time as much as the first.

I chose TOY STORY 3 because

I saw it at a press screening and saw a roomful of hardened movie critics cry like babies at the ending. But I could have just as easily chosen:
- MONSTERS INC.
- THE INCREDIBLES
- FINDING NEMO
- RATATOUILLE
- WALL-E (that space dance sequence still gives me chills)
- UP

It's always a tough question to answer for me because I've really fallen in love with a large number of these films. I guess Finding Nemo is at the top, if not very near the top of that list because of what a journey it was, how it just swept you up along for the ride and was filled with fun, memorable characters (and an amazing voice acting turn from Ellen DeGeneres). The Incredibles is great too, probably the very best superhero parody film ever made - packed with style, action that was

The Incredibles is great too, probably the very best superhero parody film ever made - packed with style, action that was actually exciting and just violent enough plus a well fleshed-out family dynamic. WALL-E gave us a character we could immediately and absolutely fall in love with and delivered what I think is the best cinematic love story of the past decade.

Pretty tough, I went with Toy Story 2 because I loved the toy store setting so much. But it could have been any of the three Toy Stories, Ratatouille, or WALL-E. I haven't seen their last... three movies though. Was never a huge fan of Inc. (I think I'd like it a lot more now, last time I saw it was when it was in theaters so I must have been 9 or 10 at the time) so I'll probably wait for the blu-ray of University.

WALL-E

Hands down not only my most favorite animated movie, but my most favorite movie EVER! Yes, on my top ten, its Numero Uno over the likes of Pulp Fiction, Dark Knight, Back to the Future trilogy, Forest Gump, Terminator 2 & Eternal Sunshine.... Plain and simple, I love this film, can never see it enough!

Wall-E. Cried like a baby, laughed like a baby, and loved how the theme of general ecology was approached.

Incredibles was just okay...

...Finding Nemo was slightly better. I'm still waiting for the Dixar movie I can actually call myself a true fan of again. Their good ones were a long time ago. Now we're in this kind of in-between zone where all the animation studios are on equal footing almost. I'm sorry, I'll skip Monsters University and Planes and go see Turbo instead.

Planes is actually ALL Disney, I believe. But I'll skip it because A) it's a spin-off of the crappy Cars flicks & B) they found the 2nd most annoying comedian after Larry the Cable Guy, Dane Cook, to voice the lead.

And, as a fan of Monsters Inc., Monsters U. was more than a worthy prequel. So much of what you get is not shown in the previews. . .

I'm glad to see that both Brad Bird movies are on the list. Ratatouille and Incredibles are two amazing movies. I voted for Ratatouille by the way.

Tough Choice!

Great poll, this is like being asked whether you'd prefer a bugatti or lamborghini. I can't narrow it down to just one, so I'd have to pick Toy Story, Toy Story 3, Wall-E, Up, and Monster's Inc. in no particular order. Brilliant films, for kids AND adults as well.

Toy Story trilogy

Toy story was my childhood. Today the trilogy is probably one of the best in cinema. Any film in the bunch could be on top of my list (I personally like Toy Story 2 best, so I gave it the vote). Outside of Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Incredibles are my 2 favorites. I also think Bug's Life is probably their most underrated.
