I'm more of a DC Comics fan...

and I prefer X-Men movies (X2 & First Class) but I still voted for Avengers. It is the most fun of the movies and it is great to see a superhero team working together.

1. Avengers
2. Iron Man
3. The Incredible Hulk
4. Thor: The Dark World - a lot of humor for my tast, but it didn't bother me like Iron Man 3
5. Thor
6. Captain America - movie was okay, just not a fan of his characters
7. Iron Man 2 - Scarlett is a big plus for the movie!
8. Iron Man 3 - ugh, watched it 2 times but

The Avengers!

The culmination of Phase 1 had it all, and it was great. Beyond that I would rank them from best to worst as:

2. Iron Man
3. Captain America
4. Thor
5. Iron Man 3
6. The Incredible Hulk
7. Iron Man 2

Haven't seen Thor: The Dark World yet (but soon!)

Daredevil Director's Cut!

Most underrated Marvel movie ever. Iron Man 3 was the worst one, followed by Iron Man 2.

Avengers.
Surprised that Iron Man 3 is over Iron Man 2. People like to bag pretty hard on IM2. but I'm just one of those guys that can't forgive what they did to The Mandarin.

Thor the dark world!

I also love punisher war zone! It's a lot better than the joke of a movie that is the tom jane effort!

I tend to be more of a dc guy tho, just through my love of batman. Batman has gave us the best in each medium he's been introduced to: comic books, film, tv and computer gaming!

I find marvel to be to kiddy and "soft" especially the avengers movie! I enjoyed the hulk and Thor in it. But as a whole it let me down. I don't like Chris Evans as cap, seriously how long did the gun fight in

I don't like Chris Evans as cap, seriously how long did the gun fight in the ship go between him and one henchman? Making hulk "angry all the time" was an awful move! Hawkeye was very, very forgettable! RDJ. Doesn't even play tony stark how he should be, but no one seems to mind, it just shows you how much people on a site like this actually read comics as opposed to how many claim they do, for example the soloist! Seems to love all the worst comic book films and doesn't like the good ones. It just proves how little people like him understand these characters. To say you live the GL movie and the comics is a lie, no GL comic fan thinks RR is a good choice for hal Jordan but the soloist the huge comic nerd love it.

People see a couple of superhero movies and think they are clued up, but they just come across as retarded!

You make some good points about the films you discussed, but seriously, get over yourself; lay down that torch you hold so high for yourself.

"...no GL comic fan thinks RR is a good choice for hal Jordan...", well Geoff Johns thought and still thinks he is a good choice. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I agree with you about Ryan, but it's just one opinion and it doesn't make people who disagree wrong.

Iron Man for me. At the time it was released, it was like a breath of fresh air because prior to Iron Man, we have superhero movies like Fantastic Four Rise of Silver Surfer (which was not good) and the first Ghost Rider movie (which was not good either).

I'm seeing Thor tomorrow after work and while I have pretty tempered expectations for it after Iron Man 3, your list gives me hope because its #3 on your list, and other than that your list matches very closely to how I would rate the films.

The Avengers by far. All range from good to great, but The Avengers is like the superbowl of comic book films. It has all the characters we love, having great interaction with each other and each character has at least one excellent scene focused purely on them. On top of this, we get the best action of the entire franchise, with scenes that trump the scale of the other films. The goal was to create a series of films that stood on their own, but led up to one grand film with all the characters

In terms of the MCU? The first Iron Man is by far the best, followed by The Avengers and... The Incredible Hulk. Yep, I think it was an underrated installment in this entire process.

The Avengers is amazing, but something about the first Thor is staying with me. Maybe Kenneth Branagh's direction? Maybe our introduction to Loki? Maybe all the jokes of Thor on earth like the hospital, coffee, or pet shop scenes. Maybe the good use of the warriors three (they seemed to have about three lines each in The Dark World)

Let see.... "I actually prefer the Marvel characters made at other studios" (sure, X Men movies, and Ang Lee's Hulk) and "I'm more of a DC Comics fan" (sure Nolanīs trilogy is much better than this... and Watchmen also). Thatīs probably my two answers... but they are stupid answers to your question! My favorite one is The Avengers, and in 2nd Cap America.

THE AVENGERS

I never understood the massive amount of love that IRON MAN 1 always gets.. I liked the film and thought it was a pretty accurate translation, but that's just it, it's the same origin tale I new it was going to be. The action was miniscule and the last fight was really not that great. I guess if you don't read comics, then it was as exciting as it was for us comic fans when we first read it, otherwise pretty generic. Actually, all Super Heroe Origin tales are generic. Maybe that's why part 2's

The first half of Captain America.

Before it devolves in to "well we better hurry the fuck up and get this guy into the Avengers".

But none-of the Marvel-made movies can shine a light on Spider-Man 2. Iron Man is close, until that devolves in to "Iron Man has to fight a biggerer and betterer Iron Man".

There is something almost perfect about Spider-man 2. I mean, it has its flaws and could have led up to a really amazing man-spider mutation saga too, but alas it is not yet meant to be. Of the 3 Raimi films including the reboot, SM2 has a lot going on for it. So I agree, as far as Marvel movies go, SM2 is still among my favorites with Avengers behind it. I'm sure plenty will disagree with this part too, but I enjoyed Thomas Jane as Punisher. Movie needed work but I always felt the slaughter of

Yeah. Punisher is definitely underrated. The sad (?) fact is that crime rates are down in the big cities so changing the venue to Florida was probably the way to go. Otherwise I don't see what people complain about. It didn't really need a sequel. Thomas Jane dropped out of War Zone because he didn't want to be in a bad Punisher movie and end up taking the blame for it. That says it all.

Out of all of the Marvel Centric Universe films, Avengers in my favorite. If I had to pick a favorite solo Avengers film, mine would definitely be Captain America: The First Avenger. Out of ALL of the Marvel superhero films, Spider-Man 2 is my favorite of all time. It's still holds up very well and is still a fantastic, amazing film.

I'm more of a DC guy, so I would have to say my favorite superhero DC films are Man of Steel, Green Lantern, and Batman Begins.

I'll be honest, my favorite Marvel character movies are X2 and Spider-man 2. If you just focus on the MCU, Iron Man is the best, with Avengers a close second.
Also, I wouldn't say I'm a DC guy, just Batman. So Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are my personnal favorite superhero films.
