Forgotten Moore

08.26.2004

Julianne Moore news article pic A while back we ran a story (which you can check out HERE) on a cool new development in trailerization (the process by which trailers are formed). It was called SmartTrailer and added a nice interactive feature where you could check out behind the scenes snippets as the trailer progressed. Today I ran into another nifty interactive trailer for the new movie THE FORGOTTEN, with Julianne Moore and Gary Sinise. The trailer is the same one that came out a few weeks ago (which you can see HERE) with an added interactive twist where you type in your name and during parts where the trailer has text, it inserts your name. So, essentially, the trailer addresses you with questions like "what do you believe, (your name)?" It's not quite as cool as the SmartTrailer but it's not bad and given the story, adds a nice layer of creepy to the mix. Or, if you want to get creative, you can have the trailer say "what do you believe, bad boy?" or "what do you believe, Mr. Spock?" The possibilities are endless. The movie tells the story of Telly Paretta (Moore) who's mourning the loss of her son only to have her therapist tell her that she has no son and worse yet, she made up all the memories of her son. Unfortunately, the trailer suffers from "revealing way too much" syndrome. Check out the cool trailer HERE. The movie's directed by Joseph Ruben (MONEY TRAIN) and is scheduled to open September 24th.
