Play this game with me. Here's the type of woman that Reese Witherspoon plays in her latest film entitled VANITY FAIR, opening this Wednesday: "[one who]...can rely on her wit, guile and sexuality as she makes her way up through London society circa 1820." Now replace the words "London society circa 1820" by "a typical high school" and you've got her character from ELECTION, right? Replace them with "Harvard Law School" and you've got her character from LEGALLY BLONDE, right? Or by the words "Washington DC", poof, et voila...her character from LEGALLY BLONDE 2! All that to say that despite this film, at the very least, looking different, Reesey doesn't seem to have stretched much in her acting range, but I suppose that's part of being a big-shot in Hollywood. On a personal note, Witherspoon always reminds me of this girl with whom I used to watch a bunch of movies last year. Then one night...we got drunk and made out. Haven't heard from her since. If anyone says messing around with one of your friends doesn't "ruin" a friendship...tell them that story. It's actually true. PS: Bob Hoskins is also in this film. Yipes!
