I voted for Death Proof, but my actual pick goes for the one episode of Gilligans Island that he was in as a kid :)

Russell is my favorite actor, so it was tough to just vote for one movie. I picked 'Escape from New York', but I also loved him in Tombstone, The Thing, Miracle, Tango and Cash, Dark Blue, Breakdown, and Stargate.

OBVIOUSLY...

Its Commander Stronghold!!!!! Duhh....

But no definitely Macready from The Thing or his turn as Herb Brooks. He's one of my favorite actors ever.

Wow, you seriously chose NOT to put his two best Disney performances on here?

At least give those of us with the memory of "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" and "The Strongest Man in the World" the chance to reminisce.....guess I'll have to go with EFNY.

Looking at that picture, he woulda made a badass Nick Fury. I went with Tombstone but damn that's a helluva list.

Russell is one of my all time favorites! I expected Snake to win this thing by a landslide, but I don't mind Jack Burton taking the top spot. His working relationship with Carpenter is one that rivals Scorsese and De Niro. I'm a bit sad to see his career's been winding down over the past few years, and I'm disappointed he ended dropping out of Django, but I'm sure he had his reasons. I can't wait to see what he brings to the Fast & Furious franchise. I'm hoping it ends up breathing new

'You know what Old Jack Burton says'

Again I couldnt pick just one, although I can understand Jack Burton winning at the moment, I think there are just too many movies which prove his range as an actor. I love his Jack Burton role but I also loved his role as Wyatt Earp in Tombstone as well as many others listed. So yeh he his just awesome!

I couldn't pick just one

Whether it's . . .

- Stuntman Mike
- Jack Burton
- Snake Plissken
- Col. Jack O'Neil
- Elvis Presley (twice!)
- Wyatt Earp
- "Bull" McCaffrey
or countless others, he's always brought his A game, even when the movie wasn't worthy. A friend of mine once waited on his table in a restaurant and she said he was a really good guy, too.

Big Trouble in Little China is I think the first Kurt Russel movie I saw as a child, and as a kid watching someone shoots lightning and the pre-Samantha beauty of Kim Cattrall definitely earned my stamp of approval

Gonna give a little love to Executive Decision. Decent 90s thriller and (spoilers) axing Seagal early on is just fine by me. I think I cheered. Also, to reuse a joke, it's Snake on a Plane!

Big Trouble in Little China is one of my all time favorites! A movie that still holds up today! I watch that movie every one-two months, glad it took top vote, although I almost chose "all roles".

Hard to pick... So I copped out.

How mad that I find this article after just watching The Thing.
He rocks though, one of the great unappreciated talents of Hollywood.

Had to go with Jack Burton, even though he's the best as Wyatt Earp too.

Wow.

I did not expect Jack Burton to be the clear favourite.
Figured it would be a close run thing between MacReady and Plissken for the top spot.

Tombstone! But I'm shocked Dark Blue didn't make the poll. It's a close second for my fav role of his.

Old Jack Burton on the Pork Chop Express

Big Trouble in Little China takes the cake for me followed closely by Plisken. BTW whoever voted their not a fan of Russell should seriously reassess they're lives.

I cast my vote for Solider, he's terrific in everything but this deserves much more than it's gotten. What was it, like 26 lines in the whole movie, on top of that he broke bones for the part. Note to oscar voters, muscles are a hard thing to train, the man was robbed.

That's a tough one. Tombstone is def number 1, The Thing is number 2, and Big Trouble in Little China is number 3. I never really cared for Escape from New York.
