My girlfriend brought over the original Godzilla Criterion Edition yesterday. Watch the original and be impressed. Then watch the American version and crack up at the latent racism.

My theory on why Godzilla is running away with this poll is that we have been overexposed to DOFP and AS2. For 2 years it has been non-stop updates with teasers, posters, trailers (that hold little to nothing back for the theater experience), spoilers, and even in-depth character bios. I know that is what this website is built on, so I'm not complaining. There has been far less released about Godzilla. There is also the fact that a fresh start of a franchise is more exciting than sequels in a

In some ways you know what you are going to get with DOFP and AS2. That said I can't wait for both!

This poll is very sketchy. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is predicted to make 750+ million dollars worldwide, and Godzilla is only predicted to make 450 million worldwide, yet everyone on this poll voted for Godzilla over Spiderman? There's sometihng fishy going on here. In fact, just to test this theory, I just asked everyone in my office what movie they'd rahter see (Godzilla or Amazing Spider-Man 2), and they all chose Spider-Man. Either there's some kind of poll fraud going on, or everyone on

At my work it's the complete opposite. Everyone wants to see Godzilla and are extremely excited by it. Spiderman is the "If I get around to it" film. So that doesn't really mean anything.

Days of Future Past followed closely by Amazing Spider-Man 2 are the two that I'm most looking forward to.

Godzilla

It looks epic, and genuine from the trailers. Not campy or stupid. I like my MONSTER movies to have a real element of fear in them. If you don't fear giant monsters then what is the point of having them?

I get being curious for Godzilla, but I know the main reason that everyone wants to see it is because they're still hard for Brian Cranston. But to want to see that or X-Men over Spider-man is crazy. TASM was the be comic movie to date. Go into it not thinking about Raimi's movie.

A lot of people didn't care for the first Amazing Spiderman. And the second one has been been getting some underwhelming reviews. I think everyone expected this new Spiderman to be better than reviews are saying it is. And there's more than just Brian Cranston going for Godzilla. It's a reinvention of the franchise and looks like it does the series right. What's not to be excited about for it?

Um...I'm going because I am a lifelong Godzilla fan and the BIG guy is finally back!!! I own 20 of the 28 Godzilla films, have seen 3 in the theater (Godzilla 1985, the '98 abomination and Godzilla 2000). I know a lot of people are going for HIM and not Cranston. Cranston is just a bonus for the film.

X-Men: Days of Future Past for me. I hope it will be as good as X-Men: First Class or even better.

I do not understand the support for X-Men...

Days of Future Past? Have any of you actually read that two issue story arc? This craptastic movie looks NOTHING like it. Singer hasn't made a good movie since X-Men 2, and even that was just a decent X-Men movie, not great. We've never had a great X-Men movies. I can't decide if you're all fanboys who just WANT the movie to be good or are idiots who've never actually read any X-Men comic books and therefore don't really care about how the movies turn out.

VERY interesting results, especially with Spidey lagging behind with less than 100 votes.
I'm waiting for Godzilla myself as my choice for the month.

I'd be looking forward to Xmen if Bryan Singer didn't direct it! If the director of Xmen first class was back I'd be much more interested. Doesn't look that good so far. Godzilla and Spiderman look great. I think that the critics are complaining about Spiderman because it's too much like a video game and to me that's a good thing! Movies are just now starting to catch up with what has been going on in action sequences in video games and animation for years!

Godzilla because I, personally, cant figure out if I am going to love it or hate it.

ASM2- I think that I may like this because I am going in with such low expectations. I have heard it be compared to Batman and Robin. It is either going to be passable or outright terrible.

Neighbors- I have purposely stayed away from the ads for this movie. Early word says it is amazing and I hope it is because we need a good comedy. I dont think we have had one this year.

Godzilla- This is the opposite of ASM2. I have high hopes for it but a part of me feels that it might fail

Godzilla- This is the opposite of ASM2. I have high hopes for it but a part of me feels that it might fail and be too serious for a movie about a lizard, which will result in the fun being sucked out. My other side says this will be the reinvention of monster movies like Batman Begins changed the way we looked at super hero movies.

X-men: Days of Future Past- EhI loved First Class. I actually think it is my favorite one. This looks like they are falling back on the tone and feel of the first film. I hope I am wrong.

Maleficent- This years Alice and Wonderland. I am calling it right now.

Blended- This is the first Sandler I have no interest in seeing and I have stuck with that man for ALONG time.

Million Dollar Arm- I hope this is a success for Hamm even though it looks generic as hell.

A Million Ways to Die in the West- This will show if Seth can go for two. I think it maybe funny but nowhere near as good as Ted.

Chef- Loved the trailer and happy to see Favreau going back to his smaller film making roots.

XMEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST: I've got the lobby poster after the movie comes out, I've already got an x-men popcorn tub, I'm reading the comics, yes this year it goes to them. It's the most ambitious and exciting looking picture this year for me and work will be exciting, even if Spidey 2 or Godzilla didn't come out, and we've got that too,

I must put "Godzilla" second on my list only because I know that hearing the epic voice of the songbird of our generation (yes, of course I am speaking about Lana Del Rey) during the film "Maleficent" will be nothing short of breathtaking.

X-Men

X-Men is my most anticipated movie of the summer. Even if it wasn't an X-Men movie, any movie with a cast that includes Jackman, Fassbender, McAvoy, McKellen, Stewert, Lawerence would be pretty great. After X-Men, Neighbors and Amazing Spider-man 2.

I didnt understand why the decision was made to release TASM2 in May with the likes of Days Of Future Past and Godzilla. We got the TASM2 here in the UK in April and it is a good movie. But with it opening at around the same time as other movies in the USA i think all their numbers will be affected.

Days of Fuure Past

It looks epic and I'm really excited to see the old cast back again and seeing how they interact with the new cast. And seeing how Singer fixed the botch timeline from all of the previous films.

But I also want to check out Amazing Spider-Man 2, Godzilla, Filth, Palo Alto, Neighbors, Chef, and Cold Night in July.
