Denis Villenueve's BLADE RUNNER 2049 is one of the most anticipated sequels of 2017, and with each new development that excitement seems more and more justified. Seven first-look images have just dropped in the wake of the film's first official teaser, and they're full of the moody, cotton candy colors and dirty urban dystopias we've been hoping for! Check them out below to see Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in action, as well as a first glimpse of the character Joi, played by Ana de Armas (KNOCK KNOCK)!
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
Hampton Fancher co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Green, from a story by Fancher and Ridley Scott.
The sequel also stars Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Dave Bautista, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Lennie James, and Hiam Abbass. It will run into theaters on October 6, 2017.
