Scott has Deja Vu

03.28.2005

Tony Scott, who's currently in post-production on this summer's Keira Knightley bounty hunter flick DOMINO, has signed on to direct the romantic thriller DEJA VU for producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Disney. The film would be another chapter in the successful Scott/Bruckheimer partnership that has spawned such hits as TOP GUN, CRIMSON TIDE and ENEMY OF THE STATE. The film follows an FBI agent gains the ability to look back in time, and falls in love with a woman as her murder approaches. A quick word of warning for any prospective time travellers - when travelling either forward or backward in the time-space continuum, do yourself a favor and don't fall in love. It never seems to work out well... Terry Rossio (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) and Bill Marsilii sold their spec script to Disney last June for $3 million against $5 million. Bruckheimer has GLORY ROAD, a basketball drama, on the way later this year through Disney and is currently hard at work on the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN sequels. Filming is expected to begin later this summer or this fall for a 2006 release.
