Cannes film line-up

04.20.2005

Cannes Festival banner

The Cannes Film Festival recently announced their line-up of films. So far, it's not looking too bad. David Cronenberg's latest comic book adaptation A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE is in there, Jim Jarmusch's latest, and Gus Van Sant's latest, which is absolutely NOT about Kurt Cobain, are also in there. I repeat, this movie has no similarity whatsoever to that Cobain character and that "Nirvana" hogwash. And, apparently, Tommy Lee Jones's "1st film" is in there, which I presume means his first directorial effort since he's kinda been in more than one film. A short list of the films playing in competition is below. Click HERE for the ful llist of films.
