Domino/Dead sites

There's been some movement with some official sites so here's what's going on. The teaser site for the Tony Scott directed and Richard Kelly scripted DOMINO recently went live. I mention that it's "Richard Kelly scripted" because somebody wrote to me asking "how come you never mention DOMINO was written by Richard Kelly? Are you gay?" What does not mentioning Richard Kelly have to do with being gay? But to answer the questions, "I don't know" and "no". In any case, the movie stars Keira Knightley as supermodel-turned-bounty hunter Domino Harvey as she wrecks some shit up with Mickey Rourke, Delroy Lindo, Christopher Walken and Mena Suvari. The site doesn't have much right now except the teaser trailer that was recently released but I expect it'll be given a healthy dose of content in the next few weeks. It opens November 4th. Click below for the site. Thanks to Frank the bunny for the heads up on the site.

I don't know how long the site for George Romero's LAND OF THE DEAD has been around but given its significant content, I'd say it's been a while; which is weird cause this is the first time I'm hearing about it. In any case, it's out there so click below to get your DEAD fix. In this one, the zombie menace has escalated to the point where humans are relegated to walled-off fortified cities but before the zombies evolve and completely take over, a ragtag bunch of peeps (I assume) led by the matter-corrupting hottie Asia Argento must try to stop them. It opens June 24th.

Now I'm just gonna run through a few sites that have been updated. All thanks to Fran for the info on the updates (check out his work in our wallpaper archive here).

banner First up, the site for the horror thriller THE CAVE has been updated with a game of some sort. The movie's about some divers who get caught in an underwater cave network where, of course, a pack of deadly bloodthirsty creatures live. Of all the caves in all the world, they had to drop into that one. For all you "Lost" fans out there, though, Daniel Dae Kim (who plays the English-impaired Gin) is in this and word is, his character dies next season!! ooooooooohh!! Take it easy, I'm just joking. Or am I?? It opens August 26th. Click on the banner to your right for the site.

The New

World banner The site for Terrence Malick's upcoming THE NEW WORLD starring Colin Farrell has been updated with a blog and some Podcasts. What's with all this blogging? In any case, the movie tells the story of the legend of John Smith and why he decided to go at it with Pocahontas. There's much more to the movie than that, of course, but I wouldn't feel right if I didn't yield to the neanderthal in me and pander to the lowest common denominator. It opens November 9th. Click the pic to go to the site.

Cinderella Man banner The site for Ron Howard's depression-era boxing flick starring Russell Crowe, CINDERELLA MAN has also been updated - with what, I'm not so sure but maybe you could check it out and tell me. Click on pic to go. It opens June 3rd, which is this weekend. Wow, I'm like a math genius.

A History of

Violence banner Finally, the site for David Cronenberg's upcoming A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE has also been updated. Again, with what exactly I don't know. But what I do know is that it stars Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, Maria Bello and William Hurt in a story about a guy who's life gets turned upside down when he shoots a guy in a diner. Spooky!
