The Latest Announcements

The Outsiders (SE) - September 20

Some time ago we told you about this special edition (but maybe not), and now we can you give you the full list of specs for Coppola's ode to the eternal conflict between poor dudes and rich, yuppie scum driving Mustangs. How about all these Coppola special editions coming out, and WITH commentaries no less? It's the tits, baby. So save up for the movie that shows you that just because you're a poor, young greaser, doesn't mean you and your poor, young, greaser friends can't look like million dollar Hollywood stars. Except you Pony Boy.

Disc One:

  • New Introduction and Audio Commentary by Francis Ford Coppola
  • Watch The Outsiders - The Complete Novel with Francis Ford Coppola
  • Watch The Outsiders - The Complete Novel with the Greasers and a Soc

"Hey, let's do it for Johnny, man!"
"I'm not even dead yet. Asshole."

The Ring Two/Ringu Anthology - August 23

"Lackluster" is a word that comes to mind when thinking about the sequel to The Ring. "Steaming, hot dog poo" is another. Where the hell was Gore Verbinski on this? Anyway, also available the same day is an anthology of all of the original Japanese "Ringu" movies including but not limited to: Ringu, Rasen, Ringu 2, Ringu 0. Confused? Me too!

  • Rings - Exclusive short film connecting The Ring and The Ring Two
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Fear on Film: Special Effects featurette
  • The Power of Symbols - featurette

Tommy Boy (SE) - August 30

Well, ladi-freaking-da! From left field comes another useless special edition. As much as I love Chris Farley, how many times can you watch this? Not many. David Spade must really miss Farley, homeboy is doing commercials with that same smarmy schtick from the ol' SNL days. It was barely funny then.

  • Commentary by Director Peter Segal
  • Four Featurettes
  • Deleted & Extended Scenes
  • TV Spots
  • Alternative Takes
  • Storyboard Comparisons
  • Gag Reel
  • Photo Gallery
  • Theatrical Trailer

Foreshadowing? Farley and Spade watch the future of Spade's career.

A Dirty Shame: Selma Blair with the biggest boobies ever to grace the silver screen. That's a Waters' joint for you. 6/14

Reno 911 (S2): The boys and girls from The State are doing their last season of Reno. That's too bad. Get on that State DVD now! 6/14

Tilt (S1): Michael Madsen stars as the baddie in this equally bad ESPN drama. How novel! 6/14

American Psycho (SE): The next person who points out the whole "Bateman...Batman" thing gets a free stab in the eye. Hey, it's free! 6/21

"Mom, guess who's coming to dinner..."
