DA VINCI GOING DONW?

I think Da Vanci Code will be huge, but not the biggest film of the year. A lot of stuff in the book is pretty sacreligious and if they keep that stuff in the movie, I can see a lot of religious groups/people being turned off to this film, which will hurt its total gross in the long run.

Da Vinci

If we're talk worldwide gross, hands down its going to be Hanks and DaVinci Code.

I went with DA VINCI CODE

I was a little surprised to see Superman so high. I have it picked 4th, behind Da Vinci, Pirates 2, and X3. Perhaps I'll be surprised, but I justdon't see it being as successful as these others.

It won't be Da Vinci Code

Simply because it limits repeat viewing. For people who have read the book, they already know the secrets. For people who haven't, once they find them out, they'll find no desire to return to the cinema.

Da Winner

I say Da Vinci Code. Mainly due to cross over appeal. Everyone is going to see it. Not only do you have rabid fans of the book but you have the ppl who haven't read the book but find the concept very interesting (such as me, watched tons about it on Discovery etc.), not to mention a lead known as Tom Hanks (you heard of him eh?). Cars should come second even though it looks mediocre. Then Superman followed by POTC2. That's what I say...but then again what do I know.

Superman Returns is not going to beat The Da Vinci Code. It will do around $150 million, $200 million at the most. Cars might do well too. I went with The Da Vinci Code, but Cars would be next.
