A live-action/CG Bugs Bunny film? From the writer of Elf? It’s true…

First SPACE JAM, then LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTION… and now? BUGS BUNNY, what Deadline calls “a live action/CG feature film designed to revive one of [WB’s] most iconic intellectual properties.”

Scribe David Berenbaum (THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, ELF) has been assigned to write the new film for Warner Bros. No story details are yet available.

Looney Tunes has been in the midst of a revitalization of late. A series of 3D shorts featuring Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner will be playing in front of WB family films this year (one already played in front of CATS & DOGS: THE REVENGE OF KITTY GALORE… yeah, I know) with others still to come. And then Cartoon Network is launching a brand-new animated series featuring Bugs and Daffy Duck.

Will these be any good, though? Has anyone here seen the first of the 3D shorts? If you have, let us know what you thought in our Strike Backs below!
