A Sequel to Neighbors has been discussed obviously

Jun. 9, 2014by: Graham McMorrow

It has become something of a routine for a movie that has a great opening weekend to get the lightening in a bottle treatment from the studio. Take this summer's NEIGHBORS; it only cost $18 million to produce and has since made $200 million worldwide. It doesn't take a mathematician to see why they would want to do that again; mo' money mo' sequels right?

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were on a panel at the Produced By conference in Los Angeles where Deadline reported Rogen saying "We are having a lot of discussions" about a possible sequel to Neighbors, but whether or not it’ll happen is still undetermined. The busy duo are hard at work completing THE INTERVIEW which opens this October, the untitled Christmas film with director Jonathan Levine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and last but not least their R-rated animated film SAUSAGE PARTY.

I enjoyed NEIGHBORS probably more than I should have; I felt it was sometimes just a series of SNL sketches that thankfully didn’t run too long. I don’t think there needs to be a sequel, it’s a one off concept that paid off very well for everyone, and it’s time to move on.

Are you guys up for a NEIGHBORS sequel?

A Rose Byrne by any other name.

Neighbors 2:

Zac and Seth have to team up when a sorority moves in across the street and disrupts the Neighborhood.

Neighbors 2: Still Neighbors, or maybe go with a progressive storyline like Neighbors 2: Roommates. I haven't seen this yet, I plan to though, looks hilarious, but come on with the sequel talk, let it go.

They should do Neighbors holiday specials...

Maybe do a Neighbors Halloween movie where they live next to a cult or a coven of witches... Bring something new into this mix.

So when are studios going to give him the $ he wants to make films of this genre? I haven't looked at the numbers, but his raunchy R comedies are hits (Knocked Up, This is the End, this movie - even the ones he's just written, produced, or co-stared in like 40 YOV and Superbad), so why would a studio not give him $40ish million from now on instead of cutting his budget in half? Hopefully this movie will change that.

Neighbors was very shitty, so I hope there isn't a sequel.

Neighbors was fine but it doesn't warrant a sequel. Aren't Rogen and Goldberg supposed to be working on that Preacher series for AMC?

Neighbors was hilarious and I would definitely shovel out 10 bucks to see the sequel but out of all the movies he's made... I would much rather see a different sequel...
Pineapple Express is the oblivious one... It did pretty we'll at the box office I thought it was quit good...
Unlike most peopleI wouldn't mind seeing a green hornet sequel if they step up their game just because I like what Rogen and Goldberg attempted to do with the super hero genre..,
And of coarse a sequel to this is

And of coarse a sequel to this is the end could be funny!!! If they went with their idea of starting the movie out with them at the "This is the End" premiere. There is so much that they could do with that franchise!

No thanks. I would rather see Rogen and Goldberg work on new, ordinary, and different comedic material then be tied up with a sequel to a film that doesn't ever need one.
