A slew of promo posters and banners for Resident Evil: Retribution mutate online

The next entry in the Resident Evil franchise is still a short wait away, but today we have a nice gaggle of promotional posters and banners that feature the various characters, monsters, settings, and boot kicks to the face that you've come to expect from the property.

RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION is the fifth film in the series and brings back director Paul W.S. Anderson to helm the stunning Milla Jovovich as the ass-kicking Alice, along with some other series favorites like Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Isaacs, and Kevin Durand.

Get some Retribution:

These all look pretty cool to me. I think the Resident Evil marketing crew has got it going on for the most part. I like the array of different types of imagery they put together with all the craziness they have to work with. If nothing else, it's just good fun. I dig it. You?

Here's the synopsis:

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, ALICE (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION starts slaying cheesy CGI monsters on September 14th, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: These movies typically fall into the Underworld category for me...hot chick(s) in hot outfits kicking ass...but, ultimately forgettable. I know they have a massive built-in audience though and that's respectable.
