According to David Arquette, Wes Craven will direct Scream 4

Everything with SCREAM 4 has been set in place, except whether Wes Craven will direct or not. Back in October, Craven seemed only somewhat interested in directing the fourth film in the series. Well, sounds like he might have changed his tune.

At last night's Golden Globe Awards, MTV caught up with David Arquette and Courteney Cox to get an answer on the Craven question. Arquette was quick to answer, "Yes, Wes [Craven] is in, Neve [Campbell] is in, everyone is in." Courteney looked a little surprised by her husbands response then chimed in, "I know they're trying to make that work. They'll make it work, I hope."

Despite sounding like an average married couple, my guess is that Craven is most likely in. Everyone else is on board including original screenwriter Kevin Williamson. Even Neve Campbell got off her ass to get back to the role of Sidney Prescott.

I'm ready to re-visit Woodsboro and get back to the days of the Ghostface killer. Apparently so is Arquette, "I can't wait to do another SCREAM." If everything goes smoothly, shooting will start in April.

Extra Tidbit: To keep Drew Barrymore looking scared and crying in SCREAM, director Wes Craven kept telling her real life stories about animal cruelty.
