Although director Eli Craig's 2010 feature debut TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL has earned a large cult following in the years since its release, it doesn't look like the sequel that was announced a couple years ago is going to be heading into production anytime soon. While that project appears to be in development hell, Craig is moving forward with a different idea and another sort of evil for his second feature.

Craig has closed a deal with Netflix to write and direct LITTLE EVIL, a horror/comedy which will center on a man named

Gary, who just married Samantha only to find out that her 6-year-old son is the Antichrist.

PIRANHA 3D's Adam Scott, who recently signed on to star in a supernatural comedy pilot called Ghosted with Craig Robinson, will be playing Gary. Joining him in the cast are Evangeline Lilly as Samantha, Owen Atlas as the little Antichrist, Donald Faison, Chris D'Elia, Brad Williams, Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Marcus Terrell Smith, and TUCKER AND DALE's Tyler Labine.

A co-production of Bluegrass Films and Mandalay Pictures, LITTLE EVIL is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2017.

I really enjoyed TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL, so I'm glad to see that Craig is finally making another film. Judging by the great cast he has assembled for it, LITTLE EVIL sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun.
