Adjust yourself with the new Adjustment Bureau poster

11.30.2010

THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU is a movie not without problems. The film was originally scheduled to open this past summer when Universal pushed it back to a mid-September release. The thinking was that it would be like THE AMERICAN, NEVER LET ME GO or THE TOWN - adult-themed pics looking to get an early jump on Oscar buzz. But just two months after that release date change came another delay, pushing the film back to its current release of March 4.

Now the marketing campaign can reboot itself. The original trailer has been pulled and a new trailer will debut in theaters this weekend. To go along with that we get a new poster for the film. You might wonder why two finely dressed individuals are running across the rooftops of buildings (in Emily Blunt's case, in high heels). Duh, it's to escape the shadows of the giant fedoraed men chasing them.

I like it, a nice throw back to Hitchkockian era posters.

I know my Photoshop and this is pretty good. You big mouths need to put a link to a self-made similar but better Photoshopped image where your deragatory post is.

I'm actually looking forward to this. Matt Damon is one of the most dependable actors working today and Emily Blunt rules all. And she's fucking sexy.

The poster looks alright. Obviously it's a nod to North By Northwest but the photoshop is a bit iffy. Still, the cast and plot sound good so I'll wait till we see that new trailer.

Neutral on the movie, but that poster is shit. They should've either used a picture where Damon and Blunt weren't looking directly at the camera or made the images more stylized like the posters for The American or Knight and Day.

Film sounds interesting, poster is pretty awful. Looks like they're trying to cash in on Inceptions success, which also had buildings and stuff on the poster and a tricky plot.

The poster isn't that good, but I thought the trailer was really good. Looking forward to more from this movie.

Im guessing the poster is trying to be a semi-tribute to Hitchcock or something, but it fails.

The source material for this film is good, but you can never be sure of the final result when a screenwriter goes behind the camera for the first time. I hope this will be good. But hope may not be enough.

The title makes it sound as though the movie's all about a self-assembly chest of drawers. Cool, or something.

Oh, awful poster.

It's looks like an interesting idea to me...

The concept of an agency devoted to plotting and seeing out the fate of the country as they see fit... too bad it looks like the execution is a massive failure. They probably just wanted to make sure they could film enough post production so they can piece together enough trailers to make it seem like more of a political thriller than the ridiculous romance/thriller/I'm not really even sure what they're going for here.

I guess they wanted it to look Hitchcock-esque. Well - they failed! It just sucks...

Wow. That's the worst photoshop job I've seen in a long time. Very tacky.
