Remember how cool it was when we first heard that the awesome ALIEN and PREDATOR franchises were finally going to be put together on the big screen? And then we got those two movies...

Maybe the new videogame will live up to our expectations and be a marked improvement on the extraterrestrials' previous head-to-head hostilities. This new trailer (voiced by Bishop himself, Lance Henriksen) would definitely seem to be a giant clawed step in the right direction.

The game (which I think is around the thirteenth time the beasts have battled in videogames) is due in March 2010, and the unrelated ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES is apparently still in development.

The Rebellion made games (Jaguar game, PC games 1 and 2) were all excellent so I'm excited for this. The first PC game is, in my opinion, still the scariest game made, and it had such a great atmosphere. The second PC game was, I think, a step down in fun but it was still good.



I also really liked that old beat 'em up AvP arcade machine.

Actually, it was first refused classification, but Sega fought for an appeal and won, so now it's coming out in AU completely intact.

I never played the former AVP games very much because they always scared me. They were that good.

Apparently there are going to be three different playable styles, marine (survival horror), predator (action adventure), and alien (... dating simulation) I'm pumped.

Looks like a mix between both AVPs, Aliens, and Alien: Resurrection. Nice to see they are taking different concepts from different movies and making a great game with them.

Shit, I bought a Jaguar just to play that game.



I loved the first PC game that let you play as the Alien too. Despite the vertigo.

Lets face it, Rebellion are the key here. They made the Jaguar game, and the two Alien vs Predator PC games, and they were all excellent.



Its not the franchises, its how you handle them, and Rebellion have hit gold three times with AvP...
