Ash vs. Evil Dead Bruce Campbell Lucy Lawless

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from Ash vs. Evil Dead, after all, it had been a quite a while since Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell had last played in that sandbox, but the first season wound up being a blood-filled and totally absurd good time. Now that we know exactly what to expect from the Starz series, the stage is set for the second season of Ash vs. Evil Dead to give us more of, well, everything; more blood, more demons, more chin, and more groovy. Starz has released a new red-band trailer for Ash vs. Evil Dead which was deemed "too gory" for San Diego Comic-Con audiences (sure, sure), and we have it here for your viewing pleasure.

"We gave peace a chance, now it's time for war."

The second season of Ash vs Evil Dead will pick up with "Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil." Joining the returning cast will be Lee Majors as Brock Williams, Ash’s father, Ted Raimi as Chet Kaminski, Ash’s childhood best friend, and Michelle Hurd as Linda, Ash’s high school love.

Ash vs Evil returns to Starz in October 2016.

I admit I was REALLY worried about the first season. How after all this time, and so many other failed movie sequels that took decades to make, could this possibly recapture the magic. Well fuck me sideways if this wasn't everything we had all hoped for an more. When the ONLY complaint I have about it is why the fuck isn't it 60 minutes instead of just 30, well then they're doing something right and I hope they keep doing it.

Loved the first season. But I do wish they were full hour episodes and not just 30 minutes.

I can't believe it has been almost a year. The first season was more than I could have hoped for and I am so happy a second season is coming. Come get some baby.
