Amber gets nude for Depp

Amber Heard, an actress probably best known for playing the girlfriend of Seth Rogen’s character in PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, has won the coveted female lead alongside Johnny Depp in RUM DIARY beating out bigger name actresses like Scarlett Johansson. So how did the up and coming actress nail the part? Nudity. The role of a “free spirited” girl in the midst of a love triangle reportedly required numerous scenes of nudity that gave actresses like Johansson pause. Heard, who had no problem whipping em out for THE INFORMERS, had no such reservations. Depp has been trying to get THE RUM DIARY onto the big screen for about five years now with Benicio Del Toro, Nick Nolte and Josh Hartnett all attached at one point. As of now, only Depp and Heard have signed on and the third part of the love triangle, Sanderson, has yet to be cast. Heard is currently filming ZOMBIELAND with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. Johansson is still teasing us with her lack of nudity. Filming on DIARY is expected to begin at the end of March in Puerto Rico.
