The latest behind-the-scenes video for JUSTICE LEAGUE showed off a rockin' good time, but it didn't give us anything new in the way of characters. That changes today as IGN has debuted the first look at Amber Heard's Mera, which includes some concept art, costume design and an official still shot by Zack Snyder. Take a look!

In the comics, Mera is the Queen of Atlantis and the wife of Aquaman. What role she'll play in JUSTICE LEAGUE is up in the air (or down in the sea, rather), but I imagine we'll get a brief introduction of some sort that paves the way for a much larger role in the eventual AQUAMAN film hitting theaters in 2018. I can tell you this much; she certainly looks the part! Let us know what you think in the comments below!
