With all the superheroes lining up to take part in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, it's easy to forget the little people (and I only mean that in comparison). The absolutely charming Amy Adams had an integral role to play as Lois Lane in MAN OF STEEL. For those wondering how she may fare with the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman all in the same movie, Adams recently spoke up regarding her role and if there's any competition between her and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.

Amy Adams on how Lois Lane's competes with the heavy hitters:

Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know? She’s the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she’s very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know? So to speak.

Regarding the line-up of superheroes in BATMAN V SUPERMAN:

They’re awesome together. It’s kind of like this big fest of muscles … it was really kind of nice. And then you add Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot and I felt very short and, yeah.

On working with Gal Gadot:

It’s exciting to get to bring in all these other characters and I was really excited that Gal (Gadot) was involved, because it was a nice to have another girl on set, even if we don’t work together a lot, it was nice to have her there.

If there is any competition between Lois Lane and Wonder Woman:

They always think that if you put in another woman and automatically… ‘Catfight!’ No, I think that’s a male fantasy thing. I don’t think that’s reality. I don’t know how it will turn out, if we’re going to be competition, but we are not in this, I can safely say, and we’re not in real life. She’s just the coolest girl ever.

I think Amy Adams makes a great Lois Lane, even if I felt the romance was a little forced in MAN OF STEEL. With that said, I do hope that Zack Snyder worked in some screen time for Lois in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, as I feel she keeps Kal-El grounded. Isolation is a key part of Superman's story, but it's important that the audience can sympathize with him too, and Lois makes it happen. We're still a ways off from the release but hopefully a teaser will swing our way sometime soon!

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE will open in theaters on March 25, 2016.
